I absolutely hate the obsession with fair skin tone in North India,I hate it so much. The fact that I inherited the skin tone from him hurts me even more. Two years prior,I hated my skin tone so much thar I could not even look in the mirror some times and I wanted to cover myself with everything,I just wanted to hide myself. But then I watched POIs and NRIs embracing their dark skin tone and that just gave me a confidence boost. And then I started to accept myself and gradually liking my skin tone. It felt like I belong somewhere,just not in this society. And now,my dad has opened that wound again,which I thought was healed but turns out,I was still healing and shit it just feels like a bang in your chest. So another reason why I don't have any expectations from anyone. Have you every been called a Kaali before? (If yes,then i am so sorry,sending a virtual hug❤️🩹)
