Whats a minor subject youve explored just for the sheer joy of understanding it?

We often focus on learning things for career advancement personal growth or practical benefits. Those are great motivations but sometimes the best learning comes from pure curiosity.

What is a seemingly trivial or niche topic you decided to learn about just because it interested you? It could be anything from the history of rubber bands to the intricacies of mushroom foraging or the physics of spinning a basketball.

What did you learn and what unexpected satisfaction or insights did it bring you? I am curious about the joy of learning for its own sake rather than for any specific outcome.

IWTL how to enjoy solitude without feeling lonely

I often find myself with free time but instead of enjoying it I just feel a bit empty. Like I should be doing something with someone else. If friends cancel plans I feel a real dip even though there are plenty of things I could do on my own. I want to be able to genuinely look forward to an evening alone or a free weekend without constantly looking for company. How do people find true contentment and joy in their own space?
