Hi everyone,

I have two dogs: Max, a 5-year-old Golden Retriever I've raised since his eyes weren't even open yet, and Bella, a small mixed breed who came to us when she was about 6 months old and is now 4.5 years old.

For some reason, they get into a brutal fight roughly every six months. Every time, Bella (the small one) bites Max's feet, and Max bites Bella's neck. They only stop when they've drawn blood. Why does this keep happening?

They're calm with each other most of the time, but then every half year or so, an explosion happens. I'm really worried and confused. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
