Nardil: go to 75/90mg or taper-off completely?

I've been taking Nardil for quite a while now. I started in February at 15 mg and slowly titrated up to 60 mg. I've now been on 60 mg for a little over two months.

So far, I've experienced **zero therapeutic benefit**. No change in my thought patterns, no reduction in social anxiety, and no improvement in self-confidence or overall mood, actually many problems and sides only.

E.g:

* Extreme gas (constant burping and flatulence) * Urinary hesitation/problems urinating * Constipation * Very low libido * Social anxiety sometimes actually feels worse * An occasional light "drunk" feeling

Though actually when I first increased from 45 mg to 60 mg, I *thought* I noticed some minimal (positive) changes. Looking back, though, I may have increased the dose too quickly, which forced me to go back down to 45 mg for a while. This time I titrated much more slowly back up to 60 mg, but after more than 8 weeks I still haven't noticed any benefit.

At this point, I'm wondering whether it's worth increasing to 75 mg—or even the maximum of 90 mg—or whether I should accept that Nardil simply isn't going to work for me and start tapering off?

A thing holding me back going even higher is especially all the withdrawal horror stories I've read. Part of me worries that if I go all the way up to 90 mg, it'll only make it harder to come off later.

Has anyone here had **little or no response at 45–60 mg for an extended period**, but then experienced a meaningful improvement only after increasing to **75 or even 90 mg**? I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Nardil and Recreational Opioid/Benzo Consume?

Been on Nardil for a while. Titrated very slowly up to 45 mg for 2 months, now about 1 week on 60 mg. So far no improvement in social anxiety/depression and if anything, things feel worse, plus side effects like feeling “drunk,” dizziness, and insomnia. Sometimes I walk around in the park like a zombie...

I also take daily Lorazepam, plus Tilidine (weak opioid like codeine, but without serotonine effects), and 1–2×/week Oxycodone because it helps too darn good on short-term.

I know Nardil can take 2–3 months at a therapeutic dose (60 mg+) to fully kick in, but I’m wondering: can benzos or especially opioids interfere with Nardil working at all, or delay/block its antidepressant effect long-term?

Benzos and opioids are currently the only things that reliably make me feel functional while Nardil hasn’t kicked in yet. What should I do? Do I need to drop the other drugs on all costs?
