My experience with Sun Home Eclipse™ 2-Person Red Light & Infrared Sauna
Disappointed is an understatement! I paid a premium price tag for a product that continues to fall short and Customer Service that can't assist. Here's the concerns with my sauna.
- Let's start with the no return policy. Be prepared to keep your sauna, no matter what! I didn't read the fine print and didn't see this before purchasing. Here's your chance to learn from my mistake.
- It also took a very long time to ship. You are supposed to call them in advance if you want to know if the sauna is in stock prior to purchasing online. If you don't, you get a phone call after the purchase. In my case the sauna was on backorder. Strange that this isn't disclosed prior to purchase.
- Sun Home advertises under seat heating which my sauna does not have. I reported the issue right away and asked Sun Home for images or photos of what the under seat heating diagram should look like. They do not have saunas made on-site so there is no actual inventory they could provide any images of. Instead I've been advised that it is probably working fine but the heat is so subtle that you can't feel it. Not sure why they would advertise heat that you can't feel. The only heat under the seat is the LED lights. Still no resolve to this issue and probably why my sauna doesn't reach max heat (more about this is 6.).
- Red light panels work from 2 separate remotes but since they are so close to each other, they turn on/off the other panels. You have to time it just right to press the buttons at the same time just to get them working at the same time. Not a premium experience and no resolve from Customer Service.
- Bluetooth would not sync and no instructions were provided. Could not get assistance from Customer Service but found a post from someone online that finally helped me sync.
- Sauna would originally only heat to 145 despite being advertised up to 165. The sauna is supposed to be tested to ensure full function prior to shipping but still arrived needing system upgrades, twice. Sauna now reaches 160 but will not reach 165. I've given up on this issue since 150 is hot enough for me... but still not what I paid for.
- 1 side panel arrived chipped. Didn't report this cause of all the other issues I've had and really it doesn't matter much since I'm stuck with this sauna.
Overall, I fell in love with the look of the sauna online. However, it's fallen short in so many ways. At a price tag around $10k, there should not be this many issues. I tried to look for honest reviews before purchasing but only found paid reviews. I regret this purchase and would not recommend it. Let me know if you have any questions about my experience. I'm happy to help!:-D
