One of my more recent ultra-vivid dreams took place in a dining hall that looked like these on a cruise ship. I know I worked there basically just bussing. For some reason the cruise ship either had to evacuate or just discarded around sunset and into the night on little wooden sailboats and my boss (I think?) in a different sailboat led me to a city in the water (at night) and I was trying to pick up food supplies. The woman I was trying to pick up food supplies was odd and cold towards me. Anyone experience anything similar or have seen these places in their dreams?

Sorry, this is going to be scrambled and poorly written/organized because I am shaken.

Time seems to pass too realistically, I watch clocks, etc. I always know exactly where I am in the dream it seems, I think I have a job there? Everything is so scarily vivid. It’s always a futuristic resort in a bay on a beach or an island. It’s very very tall and has large pools outside that are either attached to the ocean or leading into them, I think it varies by pool.

I’m often working in food service, like in a casino in the resort or maybe a cruise ship that is also similar or the same as this resort. I tried to show a zoomed picture of the slide I drew for rough scale of the person being launched off of it. I also added the glass elevator. Apparently this is common but it moves VERY fast. It’s never scared me though. The building is mostly white with a lot of glass and giant balconies, I believe.

I always wake up very disturbed and the dreams often end with some sort of natural disaster or just something horrific. Sometimes they’re lighthearted or deeply sorrowful. My family and friends are often there. There are often rooms I can’t access and I sort of feel like I’m sneaking around, taking with other people, or being perused by some sort of management. In these dreams I almost feel jaded or rebellious and driven. Like I’m bored with my life there and job and rebelling against some kind of beurocracy. Either that or I feel VERY VERY lonely. The dream can simply feel sooooo lonely, but there are always SO many people there.

I often feel like I’m in the back service halls of the resort, grey halls that don’t make sense, trying to get into locked rooms, escalators that seem like they’re in the back/sides of the building and not the main ones. I often am on the roof and it is sooo high above the very turbulent ocean. Sometimes the building falls at the end or there is a tsunami.

One time I ended up in a dark ocean after taking a small dingy off of a cruise ship, being lead by who I considered my boss, an older man on another dingy. The sky was somewhere between dusk and night in what seemed to be a city at sea level where I had to use a boat to get from building to building and they were all monotonous grey skyscrapers (they remind me of Vogsphere from Hitchikers guide to the galaxy but there’s oceans instead of streets). I believe I was pacing up supplies for a woman and she was not very receptive to me.

More lighthearted dreams here feel like there’s almost a party or vacation vibe outside where there are gigantic pools (these are very common) that are very close to or lead to the ocean and people having fun. There are often HUGE slides (I tried to add that in my drawing) and I believe I have jumped off the top of the skyscraper left tower into one of the pools in a few dreams.

They are always SCARY vivid. Like, time passes slowly as far as dreams are concerned. Very realistic sensations (the walls, the water, the sun, boredom, frustration, etc). I can picture my commutes walking through the building, etc etc etc.

I almost sh*t myself when I found this subreddit. I’m trying to find where I wrote one dream down once, but I can’t find it anywhere which doesn’t make sense.

I’ll try to write more later if anyone is interested, but this is so so weird to me.
