Hi everyone, my whole life I have wanted to move to the US and my desire for that just gets stronger.
As much as I love being English and love my country, I'm starting to hate living here. Opportunities are super thin and it feels borderline impossible to get a job here.
I have a lot of friends in the US and consider them some of my closest friends despite the distance and a lot of them would be very welcoming and make the integration and move as easy as possible.
One of my friends, who is currently in the Navy, suggested that I join the national guard because some people who he did boot camp with got their citizenship whilst in boot camp but unfortunately, further research into it said that I can't join without a green card.
The main field I'd want to work in would be IT. I don't have too much experience and have only had one job in IT (although I studied computer science both in my GCSEs and A-Levels).
I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on how to actually get the move done. It all seems so difficult.
