Hiya, I need help understanding who I am and where I lie under alternative subcultures. I’ve been researching and getting into alternative clothing and Alr/goth music more recently but I want to understand what makes someone goth. I have tried looking at the political and historical aspects of goth and alt but I don’t want to have the wrong information. I don’t know what I fully identify within the alternative subcultures but I don’t want to identify as goth or alt and be a poser or anything. Any advice is great thank you 🖤

I (19F) have had seizures since January 2025, amongst other symptoms. During the summer I really struggle as I can’t regulate temperature very well at all, for example my temperature was 102 Fahrenheit as of 10 mins ago. The heat and humidity have caused my symptoms, including seizures, to become extremely worse and it’s getting in the way of being able to do basically anything. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to make things easier during the summer. Thanks x
