The real profound crystals are the 1st batch. Its crystal production has been nothing short of impressive. While the second batch is producing the crystal formation just isn’t really there. I wonder why 🤔

Where we started how we got there and where we’re at currently.
Started off with
100g MHRB
300mL vinegar to get things acidified then heated things up to about 60°C to start then moving to 80°C
130mL icy, cold water with 30g NaOH added and dissolved then added to the mixture then swirled that around
Topped off water 750mL approximately
100mL water with 50g salt heated and dissolved added to mixture swirled
At this point you can tell by the second photo the PH wasn’t high enough. Thanks to some users on this thread I determined that the PH wasn’t high only at 12 I added a additional 20g of NaHO and swirled around and is you can tell in the 3rd photo it got us to were we needed to be.
The last photo of the crystals is the 1 pull.
Working on a full write up of my process, will update everyone when I get home later. Special again to everyone that helped me out along the way!
So there was a little settling over night as I let it sit in a warm water bath, then the temp settled over night as we slept to about 68°F. Let me catch everyone up on what we have going on.
100g MHRB
300mL vinegar heated to 60°C then brought up to 80°C swirling every 10 minutes or so approximately for an hour
130mL almost frozen water with 30g NaOH mixed till dissolved added then swirled a few times
Water level then brought up to 600mL roughly
.75mL NPS added
Let sit for an hour or so and it didn’t seem to be pulling anything into the NPS so I decided to shake it and mix it better.
Let sit for a few more hours then added 50mg salt.
This is my first attempt and I emulsified the heck out of it. Added salt after adding heptane, from what I’ve been reading that’s the move. Set it on a heat pad with a mag stirrer for a few hours then moved it to the dryer for a couple hours. Any suggestions appreciated
Can I use pink Himalayan salt and place of non-iodized table salt?
