What do you all do about the odor in the freezer/fridge as you are waiting for crystallization? I’ve noticed it lingers on every other surface in both, including potential food containers which is kind of gross

This is my first time doing a water wash. I followed Cybs Hybrid salt Tek using heptane. I did two washes. The water was room temp (~20°c) the soup was ~50°c.

Have I messed up? My pull is currently in the freezer.

Looking to get a dedicated vaporizer for DMT. Whats the best options. I am familiar with the focus v carta and the puffco and I have butane torches and borosilicate glass for dabs but want better control over the process for the spice. I am looking to spend up to a couple hundred on something. Please share your recommendations.

Beginner here. Thank you all for the input. I used Cybs Salt Tek using heptane instead of naptha. I also heated my NPS to 80 c before extraction. The crystals were pure white. Very good extraction. The naptha pull was yellowish. The heptane was Snow White. Us heptane a better NPS and does the heat bath help? I appreciate all responses. Still learning.🙏🙏

Thenstructions did not include a water wash and I've already popped them in the freezer how can I purify it from the lye If it's already been in the freezer

i’d like to hear what methods are used to use dmt and break through. I have the peak pro and i have heard that vaporizing it would be the best way.

For anyone who has used the peak pro. What temps should I use for dmt ?

Add 100g lye (been seeing a lot of talk lately that 10-15g may be all that's needed. Check your pH. It should be over 12) to 750ml water, 25g/15 minutes. Stir until dissolved and rest.
Don't allow lye to stick to the sides and don't add too quickly or it will boil and potentially crack your glass. Once added, rest for 4-6hrs until it looks clear.
Add your root bark slowly, stirring out the clumps before adding more. Stir for three 3 every 3 hours for 4-8 cycles. Soup should be deep purple to black and consistent.
Add 150ml and stir 3 minutes. Rest 2-4 hours (if emulsion layer forms, wait until it falls). Stir and rest 4-6 times. Use PTFE paper to protect the lid from being exposed to the heptane, as it will dissolve the underside of the lid into your soup.
Mix 50ml water and 10g wash powder in pint jar, then carefully pipette the solvent layer from the root base into the wash solution and shake the hell out of it with PTFE protecting the lid.
Pipette the washed layer onto the Pyrex dish, cover with lid and cling wrap the whole thing to protect it from excess moisture in the freezer. Rest 12-24 hours. Pour off heptane back into root base for a second extraction.
Place the dish upside down at an angle over paper towels with a fan blowing under to for 2-6 hours. All that's left is to razor it and repeat for second extraction.

PSA-I know common practice is to precipitate in freezer for 12, 24, 36+ hours, but I am convinced that is a huge waste of time. I put an empty dish in the freezer (my freezer is exceptionally cold for the record) for an hour or two while handling other things. When the time comes for that step, I dump the NPS in and it immediately clouds up completely. Even just an hour in the freezer (and I'm not convinced that is even necessary) I can transfer the NPS to a second dish and leave it for 12+ hours and barely get any more out of it...

I have a china supplier saying they have Acacia auriculiformis available. A quick google shows that this product contains a large amount of 5-meo instead of n,n. I haven't seen or heard of this species being used, is the process still the same? ab redux with freeze precip in naphtha, or STB? Is this species acceptable for our needs?
