Gold Card Confusion
I reserved a spot on the waitlist around a month and a half ago and was given the opportunity to apply 2-3 weeks from me joining the waitlist. I was denied due to “not having enough assets connected to my Robinhood Account, so I just disregarded the whole pursuit entirely.
I recently felt compelled to inquire further, so I contacted Robinhood support and spoke to a member of customer service and explained my situation—to which he said to apply again and update my account information, which I did. I see the “reserve your spot” on the credit card tab of Robinhood, and when I press it, it says “I’m on the waitlist”, but whenever I refresh Robinhood I have to “Reserve my spot” again.
I explained this to customer service and he said word for word:
“To clarify, you are already off the waitlist-all you are waiting for now is the re-invitation from Robinhood.
However, because we cannot manually issue an invitation, we will notify you right away as soon as you're eligible to reapply.”
Am I waiting for a re-invitation to apply, or to get back on the waitlist? Should I just give it up on the Gold Card?
TlLDR:
I previously tried to apply for gold card and got rejected. I recently tried to get on waitlist for gold card, and app says spot is reserved. I refresh Robinhood and it says to reserve my spot.
Customer Service says I’m off the waitlist and I need to wait for a re-invitation from Robinhood with no other context. Am I waiting for a re-invitation to apply, or to get back on the waitlist? Should I just give it up on the Gold Card?
College Kids and General Advice
I’ve seen a bit more posts and interacted with more college students who are part of DA, and it’s nice to see other people in a similar position to me. How many other people here are current college students (Undergrad or Grad)? What are you all studying? How has DA impacted your college experience and post-career journey/expectations? For those who have already obtained a degree, what advice do you all have for current students, and how would you imagine your life had DA been a part of your academic experience?
Slack Channel Access
I’ve been trying to gain access to my Slack Channel Account, however I get a configuration error no matter the email I use to sign in. Is this an issue I should address to DA or does anyone know of a solution?
I’ve only heard legends…
As someone who began DataAnnotations a month ago in the middle of the drought, I’ve only ever heard of “full dashboards”, consistent work”, and “options” in Reddit posts thinking of these tales as exaggeration or unique experiences.
Yesterday, I’ve had 2 consistent projects that have stayed available into today with two additional projects available for me to work on. I’m so grateful and happily overwhelmed 😭. If this is what things are normally like, I completely understand how bad the drought really was 💀
Any Math Specialists?
I’ve been on this platform for 2 weeks now and the first week I came out pretty strong doing a lot of generalist work. This second week I’ve had no work whatsoever and am considering doing the coding qualification. Recently, though, I noticed I’ve seen no math specific work whatsoever so far and I’m wondering if it’s always been like that or if it’s just a byproduct of this drought. Any other older math specialists have an idea on the matter?
