Hi everyone! I spent hours searching for a fix and saw hundreds of people with the same issue: The DualShock 4 pairs via Bluetooth, but it's not recognized by Steam or Gamepad Tester.

Most tutorials tell you to install ds4drv or mess with the Kernel, but on Mint Cinnamon, the fix is much simpler. The system pairs the device but doesn't open the data connection automatically.

The Fix:

1. Open your Bluetooth Settings.
2. Put your PS4 controller in pairing mode (Share + PS Button).
3. When "Wireless Controller" appears, Right-click it and select Pair.
4. IMPORTANT: After pairing, the light will likely stay white and it won't work yet. Right-click the controller again and select Connect.
5. The light bar should turn solid blue (or your Steam color).

That's it! No extra drivers needed. It seems the Bluetooth manager in Mint requires this manual "double-step" for some controllers. Hope this helps someone!
