Mortgage brokers

Hey everyone,

I’m starting the process of buying a home in Charlotte (NC) and looking into different mortgage brokers to work with. Any recs? I came across some while researching local options like Mecklenburg Mortgage, but I’d really appreciate any honest experiences.

Anyone else struggling to reach Spanish-speaking clients?

We had this problem for a while. Our firm was getting some leads, but we weren’t really reaching many Spanish-speaking clients even though there’s a big demand for legal help in that community.

Curious if other law firms have dealt with the same thing. What has actually worked for you when trying to bring in more Spanish-speaking clients?

Spousal I-130 stuck for 14 months (US citizen petitioner). What are my options?

Hey guys, I'm a US citizen and I filed an I-130 for my spouse back in May 2025. Our case has been stuck at "actively reviewing" for over 14 months now with zero updates. I know USCIS backlogs are bad, but seeing newer cases get approved is starting to drive us crazy.

Is this normal for mid-2025 filings? Should we just keep waiting, or is there any way to actually push them for an update at this stage?

looking for a uk company to rebuild our site, but agency quotes are making zero sense

Our B2B site launched back in November and it's been a total headache. Paid a freelancer £700 to set it up on WordPress with Elementor, only to find out last Thursday that our contract form was completely broken on mobile. Tested it on my IPhone and the submit button just freezes. Pretty sure we lost at least 4 warm enquires over the last few weeks because of it.

So now I'm actively looking for a proper UK web company to rebuild it from scratch so we stop losing clients, but the price range I'm getting is all over the place:

Fiverr / offshore dev: £400

Regional UK agency: ~£3,800

London agency: £14,000 (for literally 5 pages)

We don't need fancy animations or complex database stuff, just a clean, fast custom site and a form that routes to our inbox reliably without crashing.

For anyone who hired a web design company recently:

What did you actually pay for a straightforward 5-page site build in the UK?

How did you vet that their setup wouldn't break 3 months after handoff?

Is £3-4k standard for decent UK agency work or is that still 'budget' territory?

Edit: addressing a few comments and DMs at once:

To the people asking who gave the middle quote, a founder at our co-working space recommended Freestyle Digital, so I got a proposal from them along with two other local teams. Haven't picked anyone yet, still comparing options.

Checked the WP backend after someone mentioned SMTP issues, turns out the mailer plugin choked after a PHP update weeks ago and sent zero alerts. Lesson learned.

Looking for Ohio lawyer.

I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. A little while ago I was injured while working on the job. I was moving heavy equipment when I slipped on a wet floor and injured my lower back and shoulder. I reported the accident to my supervisor right away and sought medical treatment, but the whole workers' compensation process has been much more frustrating than I expected.

I've missed several weeks of work because of my injuries, and now I'm getting mixed information about my benefits and whether certain medical treatments will be covered. It feels like my employer's insurance company is making everything more difficult, and I'm worried I'll end up paying for expenses that should be covered.

I'm looking for a lawyer who has experience with workers' compensation claims and can help make sure my rights are protected. If you've worked with someone who was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful throughout the process, I'd really appreciate any recommendations.

Frustrated trying to find a decent psychiatrist in Atlanta for ADHD/anxiety (long waitlists)

Hey everyone, 24F here. I’ve been struggling like crazy with ADHD paralysis and mounting anxiety lately, and my current daily routine is just not cutting it anymore. I really need to see a professional to get my meds properly adjusted, but it feels impossible here.

Almost every clinic I’ve called either has a 4-to-6 month waitlist or doesn't take commercial insurance at all. I’m starting to feel super overwhelmed and stuck. Any advice on how to navigate this in the local area, or general recommendations?

Update:

While searching, I came across a practice called CNSL (I think they have offices in Marietta and Alpharetta, and do telehealth). Their Google reviews look almost too good to be true, which always makes me a bit skeptical. Has anyone here used CNSL for therapy or medication management? Would love to get some real, feedback before I try to book an appointment with them.
