Anyone else a second year going back into accoms?

I’m actually nervous because I have no idea who’s going to be in my flat and I have no way of finding out who’s in my flat until I’m actually there. Last year I signed my tenancy agreement through my university so I was able to see the names of the people in my flat through my university accom portal, but this year I signed it through emailing my accommodation provider directly and now I have absolutely no clue who im going to be living with. I’ve tried every app, joining every group chat and no one seems to be speaking in them. To make matters worse, I’m also moving in late because I have commitments on the earlier key collection dates. To make matters even WORSE, I’m moving my stuff in over multiple days because my family think it’s going to be easier than moving everything in all at once. I’m scared that everyone’s going to get to know eachother while I’m still moving in.

AITA for choosing a later date to collect my keys for my university halls?

So I’m going into second year of university and I chose to collect my keys to move into my accommodation at a later date in September because I have a concert and my sisters birthday earlier in September. Me and my dad had an argument today because I chose to collect my keys later on, rather than collecting them at the earliest date possible. He argues that taking multiple trips back and forth with my stuff is easier than doing it all in one big move. Even though my university is a half an hour drive away I argued that this wouldn’t be easier because A you’re wasting more time and gas going back and forth and B we have help from my sister aswell so we can put half my stuff in my dads car and half my stuff in my sisters car, which is what we did last year and it turned out completely fine. He called me selfish because I have plans that I want to go to and I’ve chosen the date based off of my plans instead of just moving in on the earliest date possible. Bare in mind I had no idea that he had the idea of doing multiple trips until today, so I just assumed we’d do it the same as we did last year. My argument is that he’s a control freak and is having a tantrum because I’ve not agreed to do it the way he wants to do it.

Flatmate moved out and stole my plates, bowls and pans

The flat has had problems with this one specific flatmate for most of the year and we didn’t start putting 2 and 2 together until the end of the year. Occasionally people would have pans go missing and they would miraculously turn back up used in the sink and stuff kept going missing from the fridge. It gets to the time where everyone starts moving out after they finish their course for the year. 1 of my flatmates moved out last week and my bowls and plates were still there, fast forward to this week another flatmate moves out and they’re gone. The rest of my flatmates are still living in the flat and some of their stuff has gone missing too. I’m just wondering if accommodations actually do anything about this sort of stuff because he’s not the type to fess up about taking things that aren’t his and I’m probably going to have to escalate this further.
