La Roche Posy Lipikar Baume

My baby is 7 months old and has had eczema since around 1.5 months. It is currently quite severe and affects most of his body, especially his face and neck.

We tried using hydrocortisone twice daily for 2–3 weeks during flares, but it did not significantly improve the eczema on his face. We were also using QV cream as a moisturizer.

Yesterday, we switched to La Roche-Posay Lipikar balm. I started applying it frequently (about every 2–3 hours), and today I noticed that the eczema looks noticeably calmer. It has not completely cleared, but the redness and inflammation have reduced, and the skin now looks more flaky, as if it is healing.

I’m a bit confused about this change. How can a moisturizing cream show such an effect when a steroid didn’t seem to help much? Is this a normal response in eczema?

I’ve also noticed a pattern before—CeraVe moisturizing cream seemed to help initially but stopped making a difference after a few days. I have read similar comments online about Lipikar working for a couple of tubs and then seeming less effective over time, which is making me concerned about consistency and long-term effectiveness.

And do I continue using it as a regular moisturiser or limit its use to one or two times a day?

Revising a planning package

Hi everyone,
I need clarification on a planning package revision scenario.

We are currently revising a planning package due to shutdown postponement and extension of the project completion date, and the revised schedule will be issued as the new baseline.

Our progress S-curves are generated in Excel using planned vs actual activity dates.

My question is:
When updating the revised baseline, what is the correct approach for handling activity dates?
Should the planned dates of completed activities be updated to match actual start/finish dates, and in-progress activities be statused as of the revision date, so that the baseline reflects actual progress up to the cut-off date and the new plan continues from there?

OR

Should we retain the original planned dates for completed and in-progress activities, and only revise the remaining activities for the new forecast?

Additionally, if only remaining activities are revised, will the resulting S-curves still provide an accurate representation of project progress against the revised baseline?
I would appreciate guidance on the correct planning practice and logic used in such rebaselining situations.

Private Room Rent at Al Wakra Hospital

The shared room charge for labor and delivery at Al Wakra Hospital is 100 QAR. Does anyone know how much a private/single room costs?

Infant Eczema

Hi everyone,

My 6-month-old baby has very severe eczema since he was 1.5 months old and we’re feeling quite overwhelmed. It’s all over his body — face, chest, back, arms, legs, everywhere. It only seems to stay under control while using steroid creams, and flares up again once we stop.

We’ve already seen doctors, but I wanted to ask if any parents in Qatar have gone through something similar with severe infant eczema. Did anything particularly help your baby? Any skincare routines, doctors, treatments, environmental changes, etc. that made a difference?

Also, can anyone recommend a really good pediatric dermatologist in Qatar, especially someone experienced with severe infant eczema?

Would really appreciate any advice or experiences. Thank you.
