Update - good news

My cat had his diagnosis 3 weeks ago and since then i have been giving him doses of 80ml of subq 5-6 times a week and an injection of hormones once a week. At first he fell sick and I was very worried but 3 weeks later and a follow-up meeting with my vet yesterday proved that he is getting better ! He went from 350 to 225 for his renal values (idk if thats the right term in english mb) and his red cells came back to normal so we can ditch the hormone injections. I can now reduce the amount of subq to 2-3 times a week and his overall mood has improved (he's still not as active as he used to be but he's a senior cat now ig he is 9-10 years old). I am pretty relieved this morning and I focus on the positive side of it all 🌞

Subq seems a bit too much?

Hi all, its been 2 weeks since the diagnosis and my vet told me to give 2 doses of 80 ml of subq daily. After reading some of your posts it seems pretty heavy? My cat is around 8-9 years old and weighs 12 lbs (might have changed since he lost a little bit of weight since the vet visit). He is barely in stage 3 (his creatinine was around 320), but that might be caused by the stress of the 3 hours drive and the 12h without food idk). I called my vet to tell her i couldnt do 2 doses daily, it was too much for us and my cat, she said it was fine and that one dose daily is better than none. i have a follow up appointment next week to a closer vet to see the progression. i have also changed his food to renal diet and i give him hormones once a week and amlodipine daily. what do you guys think?

Just learned that my cat is early stage 3 kidney disease

Hey all ! I brought my cat (10 yo boy) to the vet 1 month ago bc i found a lump on his side. The first vet thought it was cancer so she sent me to see a specialist. ive been to that specialist yesterday and its not a cancer (yay) but he has multiple kysts in his kidneys and his creatinine is near 320. They gave me medication for his high pressure and solute that i have to give him (80ml) two times a day. I really have a problem with that because i see how it makes him suffer. He gets really grumpy, sleeps all day and because of his new unirary food he has diarrhea So since yesterday, all i see is negative effects and the way he went from a normal and very active cat to the shadow of himself and im wondering if its only temporary or if i am impacting his quality of life and perhaps never getting my boy back to normal... For now i have to do all this for 3 weeks until his next meeting with the vet to see if the numbers improve etc. Im curious to know what other people have been through with these treatments.

First bonsai ever

Hi all, I'm fairly new to bonsai making and i found a cute finger lime that needed to be repot (lots of algae in the soil and signs of overwatering) so i decided to try it into a bonsai. Was this a good idea and how does it look? Thanks in advance for your feedback :)
