It’s strange being a Canadian-born citizen and rarely experiencing racism from other Canadians, but then experiencing it more often from some people who moved here.

I’m not saying all immigrants are like this, but if you come to a diverse country, don’t bring your racist attitudes with you. I’ve had people follow me around stores, treat me with disgust, and talk about me in their language, not realizing I understand some of their languages because I took the time to learn more about their languages and cultures.

You don’t have to be overly friendly, but basic respect should not be difficult. If you move here, do better.

And no, the point isn’t that I should be racist back. The point is that nobody should be bringing racism into a country they chose to move to.

For the love of God, can y'all PLEASE put on deodorant and brush your teeth? Nobody should have to smell you when you sit or stand right next to someone. Even if your mouth is closed the whole trip, we can still smell your bad breath when you exhale. Smelling someone's bad breath and body odours when you have motion sickness is a deadly combo. As soon as I got to my destination, I went straight to the restroom to puke. Please respect others. Thank you.
