Before anyone comes for me, I’d like to preface that I think anyone with a tight connection de boarding a plane from the back rows have a pass in cutting to the front WHEN they communicate it.
I was trying to de board my flight this evening and grab my carryon in the overhead.
I was standing in the aisle and not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE grown men wiggled their way past me while I was still standing in the aisle, in FRONT of them, trying to get my heavy bag out of the overhead and nearly tripped over them. I’m very short and they could clearly see me struggling and didn’t even offer to help as they watched me. I honestly couldn’t believe it. I was my first flight in 5 months, but is this the norm to just cut through without saying “excuse me?”
I’ve been a dietitian for 3 years. I worked inpatient for 1, and outpatient the last two. My current role doesn’t really have a ton of upward mobility and I currently make about $80-85k. My dad has been pressing me about making 6 figures and encouraged me to look at other dietitian roles but I informed him I have never seen a 6 figure paying RD job position opening. I mentioned private practice is an option and understand that could take years before I get to that point.
He mentioned I consider business school to pivot but where I am geographically, I don’t think it’s worth it to go into debt for business school u less I attend an Ivy school and that’s not realistic for me or my husband with his current job.
Any 6 figure RD’s out there with advice? Should I give it more time until I’m more experienced?
I feel stressed that I need to make a decision soon, I also don’t have a ton of “hard” skills for other job positions not entirely Dietetics’s related!
