i’m a creator and i also do some app dev on the side. i’ve been working on a tool for my own shoots called Legisign (it’s on ios) because i’m tired of the manual headache of ndas and 2257 record-keeping when doing collabs.

i’m currently trying to finish up the 2257 compliance part and wanted to see how you guys handle the paperwork on-site. i built this with a "zero-retention" policy—so it stays 100% off-cloud. once the app generates the pdf bundle, it’s up to us to save it and then the data is gone from the app. i didn't want the liability of holding anyone's sensitive ids on a server and figured other creators wouldn't want that either.

if you do collabs, i'd love your take:

would you feel safer using an app that doesn't store any data after the pdf is made, or do you still prefer physical paper?

is there anything specific you always worry about missing on the forms that i should make sure is included?

just trying to make a tool that actually works for us and keeps the feds happy without the data-leak stress. thanks!

The Pivot: I’m planning to charge a one-time $29.99 fee starting next month to keep the project sustainable without ever selling user data. I’d love to hear from anyone on tour or working ships: what specific clauses or templates (like rider requirements or travel per diems) should I add to make this more useful for you?
