Advice...

So I am dying this dress and my first attempt went great. Color was even, no splotchiness, seemed a little too pink for my end vision. Tried to get it more on the blue end of the spectrum of the color recipe I used and the result ended in me having a weird splotch where it wasn't before. My exact steps I took are below. The dress is polyester.

-Prewashed dress and kept it damp for dying process.

-Brought my pot of water (3 gallons) to 200 degrees F.

-Mixed colors as stated by directions/formula into pot making sure to combine fully.

-Added damp dress and stirred every 5 minutes or so for approximately 1 hour.

-Removed dress and rinsed in hot water gradually tapering off to cold as it ran clearer and clearer.

At this point the dress was too pink (see photos).

-Turned heat back on, added water so pot level was where it was and added more of the blue I used.

-Mixed thoroughly before adding dress back in

-Stirred for about 30-35 minutes and removed.

-Rinsed and this is where the dress had the splotch.

-Panicked.

-Put dress back in for another 35-40 minutes.

- Rinsed like I did before. Still had the splotch.

Came here. Help please. The dress is currently still wet as I post this hoping to get a quick assist.

I used Rit Dye More if that also helps.
