I recently changed job after facing a lot of challenges. I had been a top performer on my team multiple times, but being on a closed work permit made it very difficult to switch roles. My previous employer was aware of this limitation and took advantage of the situation.

Fortunately, a new employer agreed to sponsor me, and I was able to secure a new work permit. I’ve been in Canada for three years, earning $100K the entire time without any increase. Given my experience and performance, I was expecting at least $200K.
