First time playing the game in general! Super fun, big learning curve for me with lots of things from ev's to ivs which i never messed with until i started this, to just "getting good" with strategies that the main games didnt require. Taking the time to plan and build teams and mons for certain fights, ahhhh so much fun! Tried to mainly use mons i hadnt ever used before so that probably didnt help when i got stuck in a few fights lol. besides the E4 fights, the zapdos fight with marlon atop thundercap mt, the giratina fight itself, and then the several fights atop crystal peak were some of the hardest for me. was about to give up and lower the difficutly a few times but stuck with it, so glad i did!!

Big bertha was by far the goat for me, watrballon put in work a lot too, was going to try and will o wisp from dusclops and delete things with gengar but that didnt work out 90% of time hah. Mamoswine killed it in there. but honestly the protect tm was the real goat lol. Time to finish working on the pokedex and work on some more missions, currently at 36 finished.

After fighting Aklove in the hideout in Vivill town, and getting sent to the distortion world, i didn't have my best team with me cause had to switch some things around to clear that fight. but now.. i find myself getting absolutely demolished by this sob. playing on expert mode. I've done save states and resets for the past hour trying to get the absolute perfect fight i can, and this the best i can do. am i just fully cooked and stuck down here??? would lowering the difficulty even matter for this fight?? ive come this far on expert mode and this is also my first playthough in general so i really dont wanna lower the difficulty since ive made it this far. Only two of my mons are even fast enough to get the first hit in... to just give baby love taps and every mon with me gets one shotted regardless. my crobat, and pyroar only ones that can outspeed to hit this thing. in the ss above, which is the best i could do, was put quickclaw on azumarill and do resets for a proc on turn one to get a play rough off, its to slow otherwise... to then go into pyroar, pray for a burn proc and get a flamethrower off, pyroar dies after. switch to anything else just to res pyroar for 1 flamethrower. rinse and repeat until out of mons to keep ressing. pyroars flamethrower even tho it was resisted type wise, was dealing more damage then any of crobats moves, i currently dont have protect or other stalling moves on these mons i have with me. idk like i think i just fully and completely cooked myself down here.....

UPDATE: I PASSED IT!!

Thanks guys for all the tips and suggestions! Was able to pass through it finally with some changes and a bit of resetting. Ended up leading with scrafty with quick claw and reset until it proc'd for a big crunch to start, to then switch into azumarill with wacan berry to survive a thunderbolt and hit back with a bigg play rough, to then switch around pyroar and crobat and slowly chip it down with flamethrower and fish for poison proc from cross poison. A lot of good ideas that I feel extremely dumb for not thinking about, there's probably an even better way with my team then i managed to pass it. But I guess that's what happend when it's like 3am and all you can think about it sleep lol. Cheers guys n gals, thank you ❤️

this was pretty tough for me on expert, had to bring in two mons out of my normal rotation just to help me out cause i was stuck here for a while. Evolite dusclosp with gravity helped a bunch, and golurk was able to hit hard with ground moves cause of it, at least while it lasted lol. kinda went to shite after gravity ended but managed to clean it up thankfully. some way somehow pyroar survived the lanturns water attack and was able to finish it off lol. having a blast on my first run through of the game in general on expert mode. one box of mons that i have specifically built only for one battle is growing bigger as the more i progress in the game lmao

just finished the 3rd gym a bit earlier, and was going back to finish catching the mons i was missing on route 7 before heading south to continue the story. this handsome gentleman decided to grace me with his presence.
