Future of Avatar after Korra and Seven Havens thoughts

I have seen people who said that the next series should be set in a futuristic setting or even cyberpunk, and to me that really just strips away the distinct identity.

Also the biggest problem I would have had with it is if they were to bit the next show in as futuristic of a setting as possible, there’s really no way to evolve forward beyond that, as how do you go even more futuristic than cyberpunk if whatever.

In regards to Seven Havens, I really hated the idea of getting rid of the four nations at first, and while I still don’t like it, I think I would definitely be more open to it if the Seven Havens were all based on sub bending groups, sort of like how Zaofu is but on a much larger scale. Correct me if I’m wrong but the main Haven for the series will be “Elora” and as far as I can tell the havens won’t be based on bending or elements.

The characters are where I struggle the most, the Pavi and Nisha characters are like 8, and I would prefer if they were at least Aangs age during ATLA. Plus we’ve all seen the character designs and how they look like Pokémon characters.

Finally just a quick random thing, so many people when thinking about future series all put a lot of stress into how the tech and cities will evolve for the future, however I think that slowing in down development would be cool, it is in fact a fictional universe, so they shouldn’t have to really be pressured into aligning the timeline with ours and advancing things similarly, even though they did do that for the ATLA to LoK jump. I think that anything beyond modern day would just sort of lose the Avatar identity. So i‘d rather they focus more on advancements in politics and society rather than actual infrastructure and tech, although of course some improvements would be fine.

Id also love to know other people’s opinions for what they think is best for the franchise post Korra.
