Hey everyone,

I am starting a PhD in chemical engineering and I wonder how people are doing after a PhD (especially financially). Has it made any difference doing a PhD instead of going to the industry after a master’s? Has it helped in any way? I see a lot of different opinions but I want to know how people in Europe with a PhD in ChemE/ chemistry have chosen their career path and how they’re doing financially.

Edit: PhD will be done in Germany but I am open to enter any industry in Europe.
