Traktor Kontrol S4 mk1 finally OK with windows 11
Hi everyone, I finally managed to solve the multi-issues I had with Kontrol S4 mk1 on windows 11 and my Samsung Galaxy book 3.
- Issue 1 : latest versions of Traktor Pro 2 not opening, Traktor Pro 3 not opening. It has been said elsewhere : download and install the version 2.6.8, it works.
Now you can plug in your old beloved S4 MK1 — it will be recognized and nearly operational.
- Issue 2 : sound stutters and crackle. The culprit was the screen's dynamic refresh rate setting.
- Right-click on the desktop
- Display settings → scroll down → Advanced display
- Disable Dynamic Refresh Rate (or "Variable refresh rate").
That's it. The GPU was constantly switching refresh rates on mouse movement, generating CPU interruptions that killed the audio stream. Disabling it locks the screen to a fixed Hz and the problem disappears.
