A little headcanon of mine for the NT Warrior anime

Even through they never did an entire episode about it I still think in the anime canon it could be still possible that Mega Man is Hub like the game and manga canons, maybe Hub and their parents just hide this information from Lan for some reason meaning at the end of Beast+ Lan doesn’t know Mega Man is Hub but WILL find out after the end of the anime at some point that there’s some secrets being kept from him. I never understood why they never included Mega is Hub connection in the anime anyways guys, feels like a major missed opportunity not sure about how the rest of you guys feel about this

Any fellow Steam Deck players here?

Just wanted to know who else plays this game on Steam Deck, I confess I know of a way to get the more monsters mod running on the deck but haven’t gotten the time or patience to do it since it’s way more complicated than the Mod Managers for the Sonic Adventure games it seems. Also I have to use the touchscreen controls for some things during battle and I use automatic over manual because I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do manual control on Steam Deck as the combat is too awkward for me, I’m just a noob at this forgive me. I’ve gotten to the higher ranked tournaments around B Rank in MR1 and I still need to uncover the secrets in both games and unlock all the hidden monsters like Ape and the Phoenix and Mew and Metalner etc I’m new at Monster Rancher and I have IRL responsibilities so I don’t have as much time as I like to get good at Monster Rancher

A question that always kinda was in my brain

How human or sentient are the Netnavis? While Mega and Lan fight in the games anime and manga sure and there are more examples of NetOps and Netnavis fighting with each other than just that. I never understood how sentient Netnavis are, considering there are Solo Netnavis who don’t need or don’t want NetOps like Bass yeah they had to be sentient enough for some to fight without NetOps, but watching a bit of the anime and you could say this for the games and mangas makes the Netnavis pretty much like the Digimon in Adventure 1999 and Adventure 02 where they were little more than yes men or sidekicks to their Chosen Kid or being extensions of their Chosen Kid’s personality. Tamers was where we had Renamon and Impmon among other Digimon be treated as actual people, meanwhile Monster Rancher is inconsistent as the games treat the monsters as pets who seemingly can’t talk in human speech while the anime by TMS treats them more as people as they all have roles in their respective communities and have dreams aspirations etc and many monster breeds from the games like the Hengers are treated as people in the anime. I guess the question I have is, how sentient are these Netnavis even when you factor that Mega Man is Hub Hikari aka Lan’s dead twin brother revived as a Netnavi.

A vague idea for a potential sequel to the anime

I had the idea of a potential sequel to the anime that would tie things back to the games, after season 3 Monster Rancher 1 and 2 events happen, then many years later an older Genki (now a teenager) ends up returning to the Monster Rancher world where he must stop Victor Donovan and his organization MIST from enslaving all the Monsters and using technology to bring back Moo, various characters from Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden alongside many characters from the anime and the MR games would show up. The battle would take place between our world and the Monster Rancher world, one idea I had during the timeskip was that Genki competed in various Dead or Alive tournaments whenever he had the chance with his parents approval of course and that’s why he is still insanely strong after the timeskip.

Some concepts for BN versions of non MM characters

Bomberman and the Bomberman race as a whole still come from Planet Bomber, Planet Bomber & Planet Jetters from the Bomberman Jetters anime and the rest of the Bomber Nebula (a composite of the Bomber Nebula with the Starry Sky Solar System and Star System Hurricana) exist light years from Earth, Planet Bomber is inhabitanted by Bomberpeople, humans, monsters, and animal people, many years prior to BN1/first season of NTW anime/first arc of the NTW manga Professor Frank R Bagura taught both Lan’s Grandpa and Dr Wily before he mysteriously disappeared, it turns out the evil alien General Ganzu took him and turned him into a Bomber Cyborg and had him build the Five Dastardly Bombers who are also Bomber Cyborgs, at the same time Bomberman who is the prototype of his race built by Dr Ein and Dr Mitsumori was shown off to Scilab, he has the ability to travel between the Human World and the Cyberworld freely as do his fellow Bombers, plus Honey & Kotetsu, Louies and other rideable mounts both organic and mechanical. This technology was used in building Rush who also can travel between worlds freely. Bomberpeople and Bomber Cyborgs don’t need NetOps like Netnavis do. I’m kinda setting the seeds here for a potential possibly canon divergence AU where the events of some Bomberman games like the SNES games, Baku 64, & Hero all happened in BN/SF universe as Bomberman and his friends and enemies all show up on Earth around some point (for game canon it could be either prior to BN1 or between BN3 and BN4 for anime canon it could be either after the final episodes of the first season prior to Axess and Stream or post Beast+, I need to reread the manga at some point to decide where it fits)

Other characters and franchises like Bendy, DDLC, Sonic, Pac-Man, Cuphead, Undertale/Deltarune, Rayman, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, etc the characters from those worlds I also headcanon existing in BN/SF canon

I admit that since the early Bomberman games kinda are vague on plot and like Rayman, Bubble Bobble/Puzzle Bobble, etc Bomberman has no consistency with canon whatsoever, I’m just given free reign to reimagine the events of the Hudson era games as I see fit, unlike the TG16 games and most of the NES and SNES games Bomberman lives on Planet Bomber in my vision as opposed to Earth, Bombman.EXE may even be connected to the Bomberman race in this universe somehow, either he’s Bomberman’s cousin as he was based on his design notes given to whoever built him (not sure if WWW actually made the Solo Netnavis they employed or not) by Ein and Mitsumori to create a Netnavi just like him

Just a little something I thought up a while ago

How would all the characters from the Baldi’s Basics games exist in the BN/NTW and SF universe? I already headcanon that the four Dokis from DDLC already exist in Netnavi form, and I imagine Baldi and his friends would also exist in Netnavi form.

Some ideas for AUs of the anime I considered briefly

  1. Genki being the Phoenix like what Tears seemed to imply
  2. Grey Wolf not being captured by or being spared his canon fate of being turned into a Baddie and one of the Big Bad Four meaning he’s still part of Tiger’s pack when he meets the Searchers and becomes a member of the Searchers
  3. the relationship between Metalner and Astro mentioned in MR2 being given more focus on in the anime (pretty sure MR2 states the Astros are rumoured to be a robot suit used by Metalners but considering how the former comes from space in the anime they likely have no relationship here
  4. adding another monster to the Searchers, like Beakclon or Metalner but maybe the former since we never saw main breed Beakclons in the anime tho sub breeds did appear
  5. a sequel to the anime where the events of the first two games happened off screen where an older Genki reunites with his friends teams up with various characters from Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive to stop Victor Donovan from trying to take over the MR world by building a monster far more powerful than Moo

Hi, I'm Puzzleheaded, but you guys can call me whatever you want: call me Dahir, DB, Mr D, or even ChiefLowKey or the Humble Savage. I've been in this fandom for a while, thanks to people like Hipster Snek, but I never properly got my thoughts down in front of you guys, so I will do it now. I kinda felt that the fact that during the first two seasons Hare's past was never brought up until season 3 kinda sus, as Hipster Snek told me "Knowing TMS, they probably made it up" Which doesn't surprise me as MR anime and Sonic X are the best known examples to me personally of TMS making a two season show then making an entire third post script season. Also, while not as subdued as Mega Man NT Warrior or Ronin Warriors or even Digimon in terms of censorship, I felt the dub of the MR anime, while still having many cuts and edits for either time or censorship, went as far as to censor scenes of intense emotion. It wasn't as badly hacked to pieces as a typical 4Kids dub. Also, I'm pretty sure the Monster Rancher games themselves, but ESPECIALLY EVO, which dang near killed the series, play fast and loose with canon; my mind mentally defaults to a fusion of both the game and anime canons. I already discussed how to merge the different backstories. I have started playing the DX remaster of MR1, and tho I'm still a newbie I hope to get good and be as great as people like Moosebones and Hipster Snek, who I look up to. I kinda find the Monster Rancher world in the anime at least kinda an utter heckhole, about as depressing and dark as the Digital World in Digimon and the Inner World in Spider Riders, and even the Realms in Mortal Kombat & the Naruto Ninja World, also Mega Man's "Robot Timeline" and the OG Castlevania game canon from 1986-2008 and 2026. Also, Planet Mobius/Earth in Sonic timelines like SATAM, Underground, Archie, Fleetway, and even Sonic Forces, when Eggman/Robotnik takes over the whole planet. At least by the end of Season 3, with everybody either happy or redeemed, and the only one who is miserable is Moo, there's a chance for things to get better. I think they made Genki such an active combatant in the anime to make up for the lack of any transformation or evolution/digivolution counterpart being in the games. I can't confirm this, but it's possible. Tiger of the Wind isn't so different from the likes of Knuckles, Shadow, Blaze, all the Lone Wolves in Digimon, etc. IMO MR anime had way more balls than Digimon which already had more balls than Pokemon.
