Central MA Grow Groups?

Are there any grow groups in central MA?

I just started my second indoor grow. I live in the Worcester area and I would love to meet up with other growers in the area to learn from each other, talk growing, etc.

I’ve searched online, but have not found anything.

Vacation Mishap

I had a mishap with my plants while on vacation. My vacation started 2 weeks after starting flower. I had no one to tend to them for 5 days. I was concerned about them having enough water.

I didn’t want to use an auto pot because I am using super soil and all of my nutrients are in the bottom 1/3 of the pot. So I bought and set up an automatic water system that pumps water through tubing to each plant. It wasn’t perfect, but I figured it should get me through the vacation.

Long story short, the app malfunctioned. Instead of watering the plants for 3 minutes, it watered them for over an hour. The majority of the water seemed to go to the plant closest to the pump. So almost two gallons went to one plant.

Two of the plants seem okay, but this one is suffering. It was my largest, fastest growing plant.

I was able to have someone stop on the fourth day of vacation. This plants pot was sitting in a saucer full of water. The water was emptied, but the plant looks horrible.

I plan to let it dry out. I’m going to move it so it’s closer to the lower fan to help add air to the soil and aid in drying it out.

Can this plant be saved? Is there anything else I should do? This is my first grow. After some early issues, things were going well. I would love to save this plant if I can. Any advice is appreciated.

What would u do next?

This is my first grow. I’m growing 3 plants with nature’s super soil concentrate mixed with coco loco.

The plants are 2 blueberry muffin and 1 dream queen. The dream queen is in the middle. I’m at 5.5 weeks from the first seedlings emerging.

I’ve topped both blueberry muffins with LST. The dream queen had some issues and is doing better (thank u to the people who helped). I didn’t want to top it because that was the good new growth. So I bent the main stem over and have done some light LST.

I plan to continue LST as they grow and defoliate at some point and flip to flower. I’m just not confident when to do each step.

What would u do next?

Also, at 5.5 weeks is the big Blueberry Muffin growing fast? Or is the small one growing slow?

Issues with First Grow

I posted a few days ago and continue to have the same issue for one of my plants. I’m reposting what I previously posted, but with additional info.

This is my first grow. I am growing with Natures Living Soil concentrate. The “water only” method from growweedeasy.com where u mix the super soil with coco loco in the bottom 1/3 of the pot and then fill the rest of the pot with coco loco.

I am growing 3 plants: 2 Blueberry Muffin and 1 Dream Queen.

Everything was going great until I transferred the plants from solo cups to 5 gallon pots 12 days ago. The Dream Queen leaves immediately started to taco.

I raised the light dropping it from 250 PPFD to 200. The tacoing continued so I lowered it again to 150 PPFD.

The new growth was showing stress. I went to my local grow shop to get some calmag. While I was there I spoke about my situation and they said it looks like I need calmag. So I seemed to be on the right track.

I watered with calmag every time this week and did a foliar spray at the beginning of lights off a few days ago.

My VPD has been 1.0 the majority of the time. Ranging from 0.9 to 1.1. I am currently watering with spring w/ cal mag and the pH is 6.7. My temps are around 70-75f.

My light is an HLG Diablo 350 in a 2x4 tent with 6” ac infinity exhaust with carbon filter.

I really want to understand what I’m doing wrong here. Any advice is appreciated.

Looking for Advice

I am hoping to get some advice.

I’m a newbie who just started my first grow. I have a HLG Diablo 350 in a 2x4 tent. Everything I have read says the PPFD should be around 150 during the seedling stage.

I started my light on the lowest setting (20-25%) which gave a PPFD of 150-180. I used the photone app with the diffuser to measure PPFD

They all started stretching. I turned the light up to the next setting. The PPFD is now over 400 and the seedlings seem happy and show no signs of stress. I would think over 400 would be way too high for seedlings.

My temp, humidity and VPD have all been steady and in a good range.

So what’s going on here? Is 150 PPFD not correct for seedlings. Are my measurements incorrect? I’m just trying to figure out what I did wrong.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
