Today I finally tackled the problem with the display’s delamination.
I ordered the part yesterday, it was delivered today, and I got straight to work. Two hours later, the job was done. I have to say that I’m absolutely not handy or technically gifted – this was the first time I’d ever even taken a radio out. So take this as motivation: if I can do it, so can you. Subaru Germany wanted €1,400 from me for this; the display and the tools cost a total of €88 – about $100.
The installation made me break a sweat a bit, but it’s totally doable
