Rest in peace Margot

Estimated the year she was born based on what her previous owners had told me. We weren't together for long but I will miss her so much ❤️ The tiniest friend I ever had

Help with hair looking flat from the back/side

I love my curls so much and I always get so much volume in the front but no matter what I do my hair is ALWAYS flat at the crown.
This is just after waking up and shaking my hair out. I showered the night before and had my hair up in a little pineapple with a satin scrunchie and with a satin bonnet on as well.
I was kind of thinking that it might be my haircut since it's quite grown out from the shag that I usually have but I'm not sure. I haven't had hair this long in probably 5 years so I'm still figuring out how to keep it nice 💔 Any advice on how to give the back more volume would be so so appreciated!

I only really use the Love Ur Curls brand (step 1, 2, and 3) because I love the smell and how soft it makes my hair. I double shampoo, brush my hair out with the conditioner before washing it out, and use their step 3 by brushing my hair with my fingers with the product and scrunching. I only air dry because I've never had anyone teach me how to use a diffuser properly. ❤️
