Are you working FOR Jesus... or working FROM Jesus? Would you be shocked on Judgment Day?
Many people today say they have "faith," yet scripture reminds us that on Judgment Day, Jesus will separate the wheat from the tares and the sheep from the goats. How can we have true biblical assurance that our salvation is real?
Assurance doesn't come from religious performance or trying to earn God's favor. It comes from the security of being His adopted child.
There is a world of difference between these two mindsets:
Working FOR Jesus (The Slave Mindset): "I must do good works, attend church, and try hard so that God will love me, accept me, and save me." (This leads to constant anxiety, performance stress, and self-righteousness.)
Working FROM Jesus (The Son/Daughter Mindset): "Because Jesus has already saved me, adopted me, and given me new life, I joyfully work in His vineyard out of love and gratitude." (This leads to peace, humility, and genuine transformation.)
Real salvation is entirely from God. He gives us a new heart, placing His Spirit within us so that a transformed life naturally follows. The good works we do were prepared by God before the creation of the world so that HE gets all the glory, honor, and praise.
We don't serve to get saved—we serve because we ARE saved.
If you are tired of religious performance, rest in what Christ has done. When you know you are a child of God, serving Him is no longer a heavy burden—it's a joyful privilege!
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." — Ephesians 2:8-9
