Question(s): Does No One at Roadie Support Work On Weekends? And if Not, Why Don’t They Tell Us That?

I’ve legitimately held on the phone with Roadie support on Saturdays and Sundays for hours until I lose service on a drive. I’ve spend days waiting for chat support with an “under 5 minute estimated wait time.”

Sometimes when the app crashes in a deadzone halfway through a batch you really need those guys to be available to take delivery photo submissions and complete orders. If it was stated somewhere, it’d be one thing, but it feels like they’re just pretending to have 24 hour support for us…

Walmart Batch Weight/Dimensions CONSTANTLY Wrong

Someone at either Roadie or Walmart corporate seriously needs to address this. It’s a daily issue at every Walmart in a 50 mile radius of me (8 locations in Western NC). Almost every single order, especially decent paying ones are input into the system in a comically completely incorrect manner.

Of the few I have been able to pick up, they were still off by several hundred pounds and more than double the max dimensions of the actual order. There are also typically several blank order entries listed as “Not Provided” I’m guessing this is just from whoever is typing it in unnecessarily hitting the Enter button several times.

Using one of the few orders I have actually been able to apply to and pick up, it typically looks like this, an order with a manifest that shows the actual weight and dimensions of each individual items will amount to around 20-40 lbs with a max dimension of 17” but it’s listed as having a max dimension of 45”+ and a total weight of 550 lbs.

If a listing has a max dimension of 20”+ and 40 lbs it will often be listed as 45”+ and over 1000 lbs. As a driver who successfully and regularly performs deliveries for all of our other associated companies in a sedan with no issues like this outside of Walmart, this is extremely frustrating.

Being in a sedan means that I cannot even apply to pick up these orders for the sole purpose thar they have been listed entirely incorrectly. Not only does this screw Walmart and it’s customers out of getting their orders delivered, it screws our company and drivers out of work and money left on the table for no good reason.

When I call Walmart, they say it’s a Roadie issue, when I call Roadie they say it’s Walmart’s employees manually entering the order in the system (which makes more sense to me). But regardless, if someone at Roadie or Walmart needs to train their employees to enter these orders properly, someone higher up in one or both of these companies need to work together, figure it out and get it done because this has been a constant problem for months that seems very easy to fix by just making the system automatically calculate the actually listed weights/dimensions, or just put it in properly from the jump.

(The pictured order actually might not be a fit, it was just the only example I available at this time of night that was still wildly incorrect in all of the listed ways. It’s actual total weight is 78 lbs, not 1,022 lbs, it’s actual largest dimension is 20” not 45”+ and the actual number of items is 37, not 53+ but I digress).

Instant Pay Setup Message Not Showing Up?

Both of the requirements have check marks next to them, but instead of just having an “Add Payment Info” button at the bottom of the “Get Access to Instant Pay” section it just has a “More Info” button that directs to an FAQ that says “Once you have complete the eligibility requirements tap the payment setup message in the Roadie app menu.”

Well, here’s a screenshot of my Roadie app menu and I see no such message. I tried updating it already and the message has still yet to appear despite the eligibility requirements clearly being shown to be complete. It already sent my pay for last week with autopay to my bank, but I was hoping to enter my info to be able to access instant pay by tomorrow and cannot find a way to do so.

Anyone know where else this message to set it up would be? I already entered my card on the website but it did not seem to apply to the instant pay setup, this just seems needlessly complicated and confusing when a simple “enter payment info button” in “get access to instant pay” would seem to be simple enough to implement.
