r/Roadie

Who actually takes these and how desperate are you? They just make no sense! Theres no way anyone can make a profit with these prices!!!
Roadie is complete TRASH! idgaf
EDIT: if you would take this please comment because i need to hear your logic behind it! *baffled*
Received a warning email
The other day I did a airport luggage delivery at abour 12 am, I got to the customer address it tells me to collect signature, the customer is sleep it’s midnight on a work day I called and ring Doorbell no answer, called customer support they issued a return, get a warning next day saying I didn’t follow directions it’s been noted on my account and I do it again that will deactivate me. either way I was fcked if I left it outside and someone stole it
Be careful doing gigs with Internet bad service
I just did a apartment complex. Nobody answering almost create a return but managed to get in because someone opened the door then Roadie Support also couldn’t get a hold of the customer as I informed him. The customer will not answer. Long story short I had to take pictures close-up pictures far away pictures many pictures just to prove that I delivered it to the correct door mind you the apartment had a barely visible letter on a brass piece door knocker/peep hole and from what I remember some apartments don’t have anything to identify the correct apartment number or letter because they cover it or hide it, but the neighbors near them have one so that was my only way to determine that was the correct department on past deliveries but the headache and time wasted also from a terrible Roadie Support the time that I lost is opportunity taken away from future gigs of the rest of the day
How is one person suppose to load and unload a 500lb item alone?
How does one person go about loading a 500 pound item into their van or truck and then unloading it all alone?
I have a dolly that maxes out at 360lbs
Best Buy gigs
How does everyone feel about the Best Buy gigs ? I’ve done a few of the good ones but today I’m not even done yet and have over 2 returns 1 because a signature was required and another because I couldn’t access the location and Best Buy for whatever reason doesn’t provide the customer contact information.
Have y'all ever seen an order below $6.50?
Pretty sure it got boosted or disappeared idk but thought it'd be nice to post it.
Not getting
Has anyone else not been getting the notification that they didn’t get the gig anymore ? I recently updated my app and now it doesn’t even tell me if I don’t get a gig or not it just simply disappears from the map.
Tell me how you feel about this one
I’ve seen some but this is the worst of them all
Text messages
Lowes has now been sending text messages when you get accepted but they are annoying for a few reasons 1 it sends you the text multiple times 2 if you have multiple orders you get a text for each 3 you get the text sometimes before roadie even notify you got the gig. I don’t need 8 text messages
My account is locked
I delivered a medication to the right address despite a bad pin. Because the pin wouldn’t let me move to the prompts in the app, I engaged in the chat and asked for support. I proved I was at the right address and I asked the agent to mark me as “arrived” so I could get the signature from the nurse and move on. 40 minutes later, the agent marked it as delivered. I was contacted and told I never delivered it. I had since done other orders while communicating with a different agent. Despite giving the name of the nurse and the address of the facility, I was asked to describe the nurses appearance. I did call the agent a dumb ass because the information was easy to confirm, but also, it’s a nursing home. That lady probably ended her shift during that time. I’m really aggravated because I’ve had an excellent track record with roadie and I like how easy and flexible it is. I hope it’s a quick fix because my screenshots and photos show I delivered to the right place, and nursing homes have cameras.
How do u make money
See I always thought for years nobody uses roadie but lately I’ve been seeing a lot of people showing how they make over $1,000 a week on roadie 🤨 I don’t understand… I’ve never seen an order that’s even decently acceptable. I don’t even know what xd orders are but I see that term a lot.
What markets is roadie good in ? Because this is the typical orders I see. Once u include the trip back this is about 150 miles (546lbs of product) and only pays $74.49.
Even the low mileage Home Depot order is 734lbs and pays nothing. I don’t think I’ve seen a worse app than roadie.
I can make an offer but get accepted for one yet?
Brand new obviously. So they need more time to vet me? Okay, but why show me the offers and let me bid on them if I still have that roadblock and can't do any of them? Am I missing something?
In case you were wondering.. can comfortably fit 40 pine shavings in a 5.5 bed F150.. 😇
License expired, but can't update Roadie?
I uploaded my new driver's license with the new expiration of 2030, but it keeps giving me this error. Im unable to select any gigs as it keeps referencing my ID.
Any ideas?
