lol, been listening a lot to books lately… atm doubting between buying “all the skills” and “he who fights monsters”

Got 9 credits yesterday. I listened to the first book of “All the skills” and now to the first book of “He who fights monsters” I’m having a hard time deciding.
My top 3 favorite litrpg book series are:

  1. Cradle by Will Wight
  2. Ten Realms by Michael Chatfield
  3. A thousand Li by Tao Wong.

And I just finished Harry Potter the full cast editions, followed by I’m not the Hero and Jake’s Magical Market.

Big fan of “I’m not the Hero” I love it that it’s for once the sidekick that gets all the attention.
I loved the first book of Jake’s magical market. The second book was ok… but the 3rd book was way too longwinded.

Based on all this, which one of the 2 book series in the title should I get.

PS: don’t suggest Dungeon Crawler Carl, when I read the synopsis it made me think big time of the hunger games. Don’t like that kind of books.

Came to the part where I had to create an emblem. This is mine, but I would very much like to see all of yours.

I tried a diagonal mallet, but I didn’t like it very much. So I decided to go with a sword instead. I knew how to draw that.
And then I added a Q (yes that’s supposed to be a Q) and a K.
The 2 background colors are meant to show the duality between destruction and creation. Purple being Malroth. And Red being me. Malroth wears purple and the begin clothes of the builder are red.

One more thing, I truly wish we could have designed an emblem the length of the flag.

I found this chest while exploring. How do I get it open? Google said to scoop out the water, kinda difficult since its in the middle of the ocean.

I decided to start drawing mandalas. But before anything I did 3 days of studies(pic 1) and making mini mandalas to turn into stamp brushes (pic 2)

1 day of studies and 2 days to draw 56 mini mandalas. I was first going to add the png’s for the brushes into one file. But then I thought, why not try out my brushes and play a bit with color. Lately I’ve been very much into rainbow.
I could have gone a lot further in my studies but my page was full it was almost midnight, so I decided to leave it there and then the next 2 days I drew those mini mandalas.
I have to add my mandalas are based of other ppls work but drawn in my own style, adding my own twist to it.
I’m going to use these in bigger mandalas or to draw inspiration from.

Assignment: draw something in your immediate vicinity that tells us something about who you are.

I bought a new drawing course today and the first assignment was to draw something in your immediate vicinity that tells something about who you are.
My first thought was my iPad since I spend almost every waking hour on it.
But that would’ve made for a boring drawing.
It was supposed to be a sketch, simply to see if you could draw while looking at an object.
So the only other thing that was close that has a significant influence on my life and tells you a big part of who I am is my wheelchair.
Tbh, this is actually my shower wheelchair, my normal wheelchair was standing at the big table out of my sight.

So I drew it exactly like it always stands here, one armrest down, one up and the footrests locked in place.

I’m usually really bad at sketching and I tend to skip that step because I’m a horrible perfectionist and sketching isn’t supposed to be neat or perfect. So I was rather proud of myself when my husband gave criticism that is said that I wouldn’t go back in. Normally I always would go back in. I’m trying my best to accept that sketching isn’t perfect and that that is ok.

Last night, it was nearing midnight when I decided to learn how to draw a Celtic trinity knot. But I don’t have a compass or a protractor.
I do have the option in procreate to duplicate a line and the turn it 30 degrees, but I guess I must’ve already been tired because I completely spaced out and forgot that was an option.
I know how to draw a circle on paper without using a compass so I was wondering why wouldn’t I be able to divide it without using the usual tools.
It took some trial and error and as you can see on the picture it isn’t perfect. It’s exactly 1 degree off.
I do have to add, halfway through my trial and error I did remember the fact that I could use duplicate and rotate, but then I was thinking, what if I’m doing this on paper… I wanted to know if it was possible or not.

I have not found this on google, I did my best to see if someone else had thrown this on the internet. And google didn’t show me.
So I’m actually really curious if I invented this approximation or not. It’s 1 degree off only when you go with extreme big circles will it become a visibly noticeable thing. And as long as you are t drawing a clock or anything else where it has to be precisely 30 degrees. that one degree shouldn’t matter much. At least not for what I’m doing. (Drawing Celtic knots)

So how to do this?
Draw your boundary box around your circle, if it’s a perfect circle, it should be a perfect square.
Divide the box 3 by 3.
Then choose 2 of the 4 outer squares. Last night I went with top and bottom right. When I redrew the thing today 6 times bigger I chose top left and right. It doesn’t matter.
What matters is that you divide them again as 3 by 3.
So then you get this
—————
| 1 | 2 | 3 |
—————
| 4 | 5 | 6 |
—————
| 7 | 8 | 9 |
—————

When you pick top right you need the point where the column line between 1 and 2 and the point where the rowline between 6 and 9 hit de boundary box.
For bottom right you need:
Column line between 7 and 8
Row line between 3 and 6

For bottom left you need
Column line between 8 and 9
Row line between 1 and 4

For top left you need
Column line between 2 and 3
Row line between 4 and 7

You’ll see that it’s always the same space but mirrored.
Draw a line from the spot you’ve chosen through the middle point to the other side. If you do draw al 4 3 by 3’s you’ll see that the points match perfectly.
Do this with all 4 the points you picked.
Obviously the horizontal and vertical line you drew to find the middle point corresponds to 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock

It’s sounds like a difficult explanation, that’s why I added the pictures.

On picture 1 you see the 3 by 3 and then the 4 outer squares again divided by 3 by 3.
The black lines are perfectly 30 degrees apart from each other.
The blue lines are my approximation.

The second pic shows how I drew the 3 by 3 divisions without measuring.

The 3rd pic is just everything together.

I hope all the lines are visible, I went on purpose with extremely thin lines so that there would be as little error as possible because the lines might be too thick.
I also want to add that I originally drew this on a circle with a diameter of 4 cm and that the one in the picture has a diameter of 24. Measured by using the grid system in procreate.
