Rating Every Season 6 Episode (SPOILERS)

SPOILERS for every episode of the entire sixth season. These are my subjective opinions that you don't have to agree with!

  1. "Climatiqueen" (8.9/10) Amazing episode and I related a lot to Adrien's search for his passion. The fight was cinematic and well-choreographed.
  2. "The Illustrhater" (7.3/10) So Chrissypop akumatized a child... but I did like the fight sequence and we got Ladybug, Chat Noir, Rena Rouge, and Carapace. Also, justice for Nooroo!
  3. "Sublimation" (6±1.1/10) Pretend that rating is allowed. Anyway I always appreciate filler episodes and we get to focus on Sublime. Though I would say this doesn't really focus on Sublime and her problems and doesn't expand on her friendship with Adrien that much (which is understandable because this is her introduction). Though I would say Marinette's character development kinda disappeared like Gabriel when Emilie was sick. The fight was alright, I kinda forgot if Chat Noir used cataclysm at any point (I don't think so?).
  4. "Daddycop" (7/10) We finally get to see the Miss Hound episode! Adrienette was cute, Zoe's backstory was unexpected but interesting, but Chat was antikuma'd again... hmmm...
  5. "Werepapas" (8.4/10) Adrien-focused episode! We get to see his grandparents and some senti-lore. I feel like the writers called this episode Werepapas to mislead the fandom because the villain was neither a Were nor a Papa. Anyway, we see Ladybug's transformation from Animaestro in the new animation, which was a bit slow at some parts but I liked it. Also, the part where Ladybug broke the rings was suspenseful and I just wish that a Twitter confirmation wasn't needed to explain what happened. This would've been higher if Chat Noir had done something other than be irrelevant.
  6. "Sleeping Syren" (6.9/10) This episode was ragebait, but the fight sequence was extremely cool. Dragonbug returns along with the aqua power-up, and we get to see... King Monkey. I would've rated this episode higher if they had given Kim a better reason to avoid affection instead of lobotomizing him even further. However, I'm happy with the small amount of queer representation this episode gave us!
  7. "El Toro De Piedra" (9.3/10) Amazing episode, amazing visuals, amazing character development. We get a Luka appearance, Julerose kiss, and a very emotional theme about toxic masculinity (at least, how I interpreted it).
  8. "Vampigami" (6.6/10) I really liked the fight scene and the character designs, as well as the appearance of Adrien's paternal grandparents. However, I think it did a poor job of focusing on Rose, Juleka, and their relationship. To be fair, though, Marinette almost compromising her identity was quite suspenseful.
  9. "Mister Agreste" (9.4/10) Although Chat Noir got cooked this episode, Adrien got some much needed development through cathartic yelling at an akumatized impostor of his father. Luka screen time? In this economy? Also, Irupe and that reveal was definitely shocking; I'm really excited on what her role in the story will be.
  10. "The Dark Castle" (7.9/10) Bunnyx screen time? In this economy? Anyway, Bunnybug and Bunnynette were great, and we get to see a classic Ladybug and Chat Noir battle.
  11. "Revelator" (9.2/10) All the heroes evolved---that was already established, but it's cool we get to see it. I would've preferred if they all got the ability by growing up through the season, but this also works. Anyway, Vincent got on my nerves, but we did get to see a lot of suspenseful moments as well as a Monarch revelation by Rena, followed by a Chat Noir power evolution! You don't see that every season.
  12. "Wreckless Driver" (8.6/10) I like how Miraculous isn't afraid to handle topics like trauma, and therapy is definitely a topic that should be talked about much more in media.
  13. "Yaksi Gozen" (9/10) Senti confirmation? In this economy? Longg speaking to Tomoe baffled me a lot, but Chrysalis's plan was actually great. No wonder Marinette had to one-up her in the finale. Also, the part where Adrien controlled Felix made me roll on the floor laughing (as in the roll when you're on fire).
  14. "Grandiaper" (9.2/10) I really relate to Zoe because the world is unfortunately full of people who look down on others and aren't afraid to bother innocent people. Fury is an interesting plot line which I hope gets addressed in the future, maybe with her being exposed and Adrien making a connection that one person can have multiple identities (ahem Gabriel ahem).
  15. "The Ruler" (9.9/10) Queer representation in media, let's goooo. This episode was stunning, and I was really able to sympathize with Nathaniel all throughout.
  16. "Noe" (8/10) I feel like Noe could've just been... not Audrey's child, but let's see where the writers go with his character and his hairline.
  17. "A Fairy Good Night" (9/10) A nice juxtaposition of Max and Marinette's lives! The focus of this episode was autism and neurodivergence and it's nice to see it being represented. Also, Luka jumpscare!
  18. "The Dirtifiers" (8.9/10) The fight scene was incredible and incredibly dynamic. However, even though we get to see Kagami's powers evolve, I can't help but wonder if another Kagami episode was really necessary this season.
  19. "Riginarazione" (9.7/10) Handling loss is really tough to do on a show with a younger target demographic, so I applaud the writers for this incredibly emotional episode. I literally cried at the ending with the music playing in the background.
  20. "Heartfixer" (9/10) After ten years, we finally get to see an akumatized Marinette! I think this episode would have had a lot more shock factor if a certain channel wasn't so obsessed with spoiling (ahem Gloob ahem) and if this episode was titled Couplewreckers. Also, Chat Noir transformation! Finally!
  21. "The Chained Titans" (8.5/10) Heavy themes are a noticeable pattern in this season; Nino's situation at home can be really stressful and I can sympathize with him a lot. Also, I like the introduction to stand-ins and I'm curious to see if that'll be brought up in the near future.
  22. "Lady Chaos" (5.8/10) There's something about the animation in this episode that looks off, especially with the lighting. Apart from that, I feel really bad for Marinette for having to keep up with Gabriel's lie, but this is unfortunately the episode where she begins to double down on lying to Adrien.
  23. "Sadnansi" (7.5/10) I don't really have anything special to say about this episode. Though, seeing Alya finally beginning to lock in caught me way off guard (in a good way). I was really shocked when I saw Bug Noire and Monarch in the new animation.
  24. "Queen of the Dreadzone" (6/10) This episode was doubling down on the "Chloe bad" mindset. I kinda groaned and underwhelmed by the fight, which was as dry as Gabriel's pancakes. However, seeing Lila in Shanghai was extremely and undoubtedly shocking, and my eyebrow flew up into the air with the other brow like Gabriel did with Emilie in his final moments.
  25. "Secret Protocol" (√97/10) Writers cooked a full meal, ate it, and left no crumbs.
  26. "Nemesis" (9.3±0.3/10) As an ordinary episode? Great! As a finale? It's okay and serves as a good transition episode into season 7.

With that said, I really, really enjoyed season 6. It's reached my expectations and I would say it was as enjoyable as seasons 4 and 5! If I had a certain memory gun, I would use it on myself and watch the season again in order.

What if... (SPOILER for 6x26 "Nemesis")

SPOILER for the season 5 and 6 finales.

A popular theory for how Lila can shapeshift (or at least what I've seen through social media) is through the evolution of the butterfly miraculous, either as a secondary power or via akumatization. However, this doesn't really sit right with me, mainly because: the concept of the butterfly miraculous (transmission) wouldn't align with transformation as a secondary power, and that it would be extremely inconvenient for Lila to lose her memory after shapeshifting for a short period.

With simple deduction skills, the Miraculers would simply conclude this ability to be some sort of extension to the butterfly miraculous, but when they deduce that the butterfly holder can shapeshift, they say, "we don't know how." They would reasonably only say this if they have exempted the butterfly miraculous to be the source of the new holder's new power.

A pattern I have noticed throughout season six is that we as the viewers think that the writers are playing a very convoluted game of 5D chess, that we get disappointed when the show is giving us a game of 4D chess instead. What I mean by this is: what if it's simpler than we thought? Here's my proposed theory.

What if Lila's power to shapeshift does not actually originate from the butterfly miraculous, but rather that blue light we see at the end of the season 5 finale? As in, some other entity (like the Supreme) bestowed this power upon her.

But what do you think of this theory? This... film theory!?

Mini-retcon? (SPOILER for 6x25 "Secret Protocol")

Spoiler warning for the second image, which comes from 6x25 "Secret Protocol" and for the body text which discusses its plot!!!

In Mister Agreste, after the cold open, we get to see Marinette going through a nightmare that causes her to wake up screaming, with Tikki sleeping on her (and promptly being flung forward).

However, as we see after the cold open in Secret Protocol, Tikki actually sleeps in a hidden compartment beside Marinette's bed. (Side-note, I forgot the episode they first appeared in, but I love the detail of Tikki's little teapot and teacup!)

At first, I thought, "Huh, did they retcon this?" But after a bit of thinking, the scene in Mister Agreste seems brighter and seems to take place later on in the morning, while the one in Secret Protocol is much darker and therefore much earlier on in the day (what also backs this up is the fact that Marinette would realistically wake up earlier to prepare for Sabine's birthday). My thinking was that Tikki sleeps in the compartment at midnight/in the very early mornings and comes out once it becomes daytime.

It's plausible, I guess? This precaution (or probably another protocol) was most likely set in place after the London Special when Spectral Looter infiltrated Marinette's room in the middle of the night. Though, it still seems pretty weird for Tikki to move outside later in the morning instead of staying hidden. Granted, the chance of a break-in at midnight is much higher than in the morning, but still, you would think that Marinette would be more cautious about these things.

But what do you think? Was this a minor retcon or some big-brain 1000 IQ detail?

Game Is Start - Week 28 Sneak Peek

Hiya! Creator of Game Is Start here again, uhhhhhhh frog frog

Along with three more showcase levels of world 9, I've also included an unnecessarily blurred image of its map, and an unnecessarily obfuscated list of what words will appear throughout (each of which I will clarify if you blatantly ask me maybe idk).

Speaking of, I have to add the hidden among us crewmate shape that appears in every world so have fun looking at these while I do that I guess.

Game Is Start - Week 27 Teaser

Hi hi, creator of the "Game Is Start" levelpack here! I've decided to post occasional teasers whenever I can so that anyone interested in the pack can follow its development if they aren't in the Discord server.

So here are a few screenshots of some of the levels from the ninth world!

I'm happy to explain some of the mechanics shown to a basic degree that won't spoil too many things about how they work. Though, don't expect something too technical since I believe that experiencing it for yourselves would be the most immersive approach.
