Corolla Altis 1.6 (2018) - Avg and Performance Issue
Hi. So for the last 5 years, I have had a Corolla Altis 1.6 (2018), that has been driven 137K. I have never really had gotten good average from it, maximum I got was barely 9km/l a couple of years ago.
I bought it from Toyota Sure when it was driven around 56k.
Recently, I have seen the average fall to below 6 km/l in the last few months. I have gotten the oil changed but after that it appears to be even less efficient.
On top of that, I’ve faced issues with bearing, alignment, suspension and recurring brake pads screeching - but that’s another matter.
What steps should I take to increase the fuel average?
If it’s no use to try to spend more on this car, what other options are there in the 7-7.5m range? With fuel efficiency and comfort being the prime factor?
Usage:
- Car is used for office pick a drop, school and errand runs
- Daily commute is around 40km, in short trips and with AC on.
- Driven primarily by Driver
- Usually car is idle with AC on as well for 15/20 mins.
