Just finished Pokémon Lazarus and wow... what an incredible journey! 🌊✨
I finally managed to beat this game, and it was such a beautiful experience that gave me so many hours of pure joy! 🥹 The Pokémon designs, the music, the custom map, and the quests made this an incredibly amazing playthrough.
Here are a few things that I absolutely loved:
- The Quest System: Exploring the individual maps and doing the catching quests for the students was incredibly motivating. The early, frequent rewards from the Professor for catching a certain amount of Pokémon also felt super rewarding! 🎒📊
- Gyms & The Elite Four: The Gyms were really interestingly designed. I have to admit that neither the Gym Leaders, the Elite Four, nor the Champion really stuck with me, but that’s totally fine. I still found the concept of the Muses very charming! 🏛️🎨
- The World Design: The underwater world was crafted with so much love and was so much better and more beautiful than in the original Emerald version. Also, the mining minigame was an absolute blast! 💎⛏️
A small critique: The antagonists didn't quite hit the mark I was initially anticipating based on their appearance. It turned out to be less "occult cult" and more just pure capitalism—but hey, I guess that’s also a valid motivation for evil deeds! 😂💰
Overall Verdict: I am absolutely thrilled with this game. I really hope I won't have to wait too long until another ROM hack captures my imagination like this one did again! 🌟 Heartfelt thanks to Nemo622 🙌
