Nowadays we have leaderboards online. So there is much more visibility to big scores. But I bet there's plenty of phenomenal scores that have been lost to the annals of time. Were there scorers back in the day just as good as we have now?

I have this idea for a kind of asynchronous competition.. basically a set of machines is chosen for a bank. And remote players submit scores against one another, by sending a photo of their score on Pindigo or something.

One could even have a remote pot shared and then distributed amongst the winners. What do you think?
