Australian Tourist Visa (600) — still in further assessment 11 days after applying, flight in 3 weeks. Any similar experiences or advice?

Applied June 5 (Friday) and I'm still sitting in "further assessment." My flight to Sydney is July 6, so I'm starting to get anxious — most people I've talked to either got their grant right after biometrics or within 4 days.

Here's what I submitted:

  • Cover letter + detailed itinerary, accommodation, travel insurance, and flight bookings
  • Both passports (current + previous with expired visas) + proof of current valid US visa
  • Extensive travel history: Japan, Korea, US, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore
  • Financial docs: PHP 1M+ in savings, COE, payslips, and leave of absence letter
  • Support letter from my friend based in Sydney

I'll be traveling solo for about a month — staying at my own booked accommodation, not with my friend. First time in Australia.

I noticed a few potential issues with my application and wanted to ask if any of these might be causing the delay:

  1. No passport copy from my Sydney contact — I didn't submit it since I'm not staying with them and I have my own accommodation sorted. Is this usually required?
  2. Date typo in cover letter — I wrote "Dec 2019 to Jan 2019" for my US trip instead of "Dec 2019 to Jan 2020." Would it be worth sending a follow-up to correct this?
  3. Incomplete visa history in the form — I only listed my US visa in the visa history section. My Japan and Korea visas are visible in my uploaded passport scans, but I didn't list them manually. I also declared my 2014 Australia visit but couldn't provide the grant number anymore since it was so long ago.

Do you think I should proactively send additional documents or a follow-up message? Or is it better to just wait it out?

Really hoping this doesn't end in a refusal — submitted everything I could and put a lot of effort into this. Any reassurance or similar stories would really help. Thanks in advance 🙏
