Does anyone else sleep late because that's when they are most productive?

I achieve a level of productivity at night that I never achieve.

For context, I live with my family and once they sleep I need to be careful. I put my phone outside before they sleep so I can't get it. I can't go outside to the living room and talk to anyone because everyone is sleeping and I also can't turn on the TV because it is loud.

After they all go to bed (Around 10pm) I can lock in. I do more from 10pm to 11 30 pm than I do from when I come home to 10pm. I try to do the same thing while they are all awake but I just get distracted and dont have that same pressure as night.

One thing that also adds on is the fact that I got this free little app to gamify my sleep and because of the streak and sleep score I always go to sleep by 11:30 pm, and then I have this pressure to finish all my work by then or else I lose my streak and my score becomes very low in Snooza. Before I would drag my work well after 1 am so I have improved a bit.

I guess you could say it's Parkinson's law, that the task takes as much time as you allot for it, and when I only have an hour and a half to do my work then it will only take an hour and a half to finish my work.

I was just wondering if anyone else goes through the same thing I do!

Is the Oura ring actually worth it?

I don't know why but I hear way more negative reviews about the Oura ring than positive. Maybe it's just a matter of the people who don't like it speak out but the people who continue using it don't say anything on the internet.

I have been using free sleep trackers like Snooza for a long time and it gives me the motivation to go to sleep when I want to (I slept very late before), and it's free but I am not sure if I want to start spending money for better sleep tracking.

I did some research and saw that the Oura ring doesn't motivate you to sleep early but instead it gives little notifications when it's time to sleep and focuses on other aspects of sleep tracking. It give insights and other data, and it tells you in the morning if you are more likely to have a bad or good day, which some people say causes the placebo affect and they start to feel bad. However many people say it's good at telling you the right time to wake up in the morning, in the transition period between sleep cycles.

I did hear some bad things about the data feeling inaccurate and misleading and studies have proven it, and I worry about that.

I guess the main thing I want to know is if $300+ dollars on a ring and a subscription would be worth it to see if I would even benefit from the money I spend, or if I should continue using free sleep trackers which did do the one job I wanted them to. For context, I don't feel that tired during the day when I sleep at the time I tell myself but my mornings are sometimes rough.
