Selecting college is a bigger nightmare than JEE

Guys I need genuine guidance regarding selecting college for btech.

I am a dropper. Was getting pvt colleges last year as well but took a drop (don't know why) and I am exactly at the same situation after 1 year. I knew I could not study Physics and chem with any interest (liked maths though) but still thought I deserved a better peer group as compared to mass pvt colleges.

I got low percentile in mains (general btw) so no scopes from there now.

I would like to take cse for btech (as not interested in phy and chem) but can take other branch as well if I get a very better option than the CSE college I will be getting. I any way plan to do an MBA after btech, so cse is just a preference not a compulsion.

And I am not going for other courses like Bsc or BBA because father and elder sister are engineers already and my father feels even in today's market, btech is better than Bsc or BBA (and I some what agree to him).

Now coming to colleges, I would like to be in a low student intake college with genuine brand name, simple and serious peer students, and simple college life. It would have been great if I would have got any govt college (but unfortunately I am not) so now I am look for any govt like college (not possible, but still as close as possible). Budget is not an issue as I will not be needed to take a loan, family is ready for 30-35L (total budget inc hostel) as that's fees for many pvt colleges now a days. But I still want to spend less of my parents money (sis is an NITian and she completed her btech almost free).

I got around 75 percentile in jee, and 80k rank in vitee. I am getting MUJ CSE and KIIT CSE but of these colleges are exactly opposite to what I preffer.

I think I will also get a college named NMIT banglore CSE (NItte) and I scored decent in its entrance exam.

I have also applied for SNU (but will not get CSE, maybe ECE is possible but not sure). Given COMEDK but not much hopes. I have got 85% in boards.

I also got 1100 rank in JEE paper 2A (Barch) and will get some GFTI like BIT mesra for BArch but it's a different course.

I thank you already if you read this entirely, it will be very great if you reply as well.

What do you people suggest?

What should I select from my current options? Or should I apply to some more colleges or courses as well? Can I get something better for my case (like future MBA or better college via core branch)?

College comparison help guys

I am a 12th pass student looking for private college options.

I would prefer good peer group and low student intake also as a factor along with college reputation, placements and overall study quality. I may also choose to do a higher degree or MBA afterwards so placement is not top priority (but is still important) and hence college reputation is bit considered for MBA admissions.

Current options I may get are:

NMIT banglore

KIIT bhuvneshwar

MUJ jaipur

UPES Dehradun

(CSE in all)

Which out of all these will you people suggest for me?
