The weirdest request from my boss

One morning, he came to the office with a big smile and asked me to help him choose a birthday gift for his dog. At first, I thought he was joking, but he was completely serious. He showed me photos of the dog and asked which sweater would look better on him.
Then he asked me to order a special dog cake and write a birthday message from the whole team. The funniest part was that he wanted us to sing “Happy Birthday” during an online meeting. Everybody was surprised, but we did it anyway because our boss is actually a nice person.
It was definitely not a normal work task, but it made the day much more interesting. Now it became one of my favorite office memories.

Still living with his ex

It was supposed to be temporary — just a few weeks until they find new places. But now it’s been months.
At first, it was awkward. Silence in the kitchen, quick “sorry” when they crossed paths, separate lives in the same flat.
But time made it strange. Not easier, just different. They knew each other’s routines too well — coffee habits, favorite songs, bad moods.
One night the power went out. The whole apartment went dark. They sat on the floor by candlelight and, for the first time in a long while, actually talked.
Not about moving out. Not about problems. Just about life, memories, and what went wrong.
And suddenly it wasn’t just “living with an ex” anymore. It was something unfinished.

One of the funniest flirts I ever seen

Yesterday I was sitting in a small café, pretending to study but mostly watching people and drinking coffee. Then this guy walked in, looked around for like two minutes, clearly trying to build confidence to talk to a girl sitting near the window.
Finally he walks up to her and says:
“Are you Wi-Fi? Because I’m really feeling a connection.”
I honestly expected the biggest awkward silence ever. But she didn’t even smile at first. She looked at him very seriously and replied:
“Maybe. But the signal is weak. Try standing closer.”
The guy actually took one step closer like an NPC in a video game.
At that moment even the barista started laughing. The funniest part is that instead of dying from embarrassment, the guy continued the joke and said:
“Okay, now I have full bars. Do I get unlimited access too?”
And somehow… it worked.
They ended up talking for almost an hour like they already knew each other. Meanwhile I was sitting there thinking that if I tried the same line, I’d probably get blocked in real life.
Still one of the smoothest and funniest interactions I’ve ever seen. Sometimes confidence really carries the whole conversation.

I think my wife is hiding something in our freezer

I noticed something strange a few weeks ago.
Every time I open the freezer, there’s a small section she tells me not to touch. At first I didn’t think much of it, but she started reacting a bit too strongly whenever I go near it.
She always says it’s “just food” or “meal prep,” but she never actually lets me see what’s inside that part. Sometimes she even goes to the kitchen late at night, which is unusual for her.
I don’t want to sound paranoid, but it feels… off.
Last night I asked her about it again, and she just changed the subject completely.
Now I’m starting to wonder if I’m overthinking this, or if I should actually be concerned.
What would you do in this situation?

The most embarrassing moment in my life

I think everyone has at least one embarrassing story, and this is definitely mine
A few years ago, I was at a café with my friend. I wanted to look confident and cool, so I walked inside very fast without really paying attention.
Then suddenly… I walked into the wrong table and almost dropped someone’s drink. Everyone looked at me, and the whole café became quiet for a few seconds.
I felt so embarrassed that I wanted to disappear immediately. I said sorry about ten times and sat down pretending everything was normal.
My friend could not stop laughing, and honestly, later I laughed too.
Now when I remember this moment, it doesn’t feel so terrible anymore. Sometimes embarrassing moments become the funniest memories later
