BM reference in “Go Gentle”: most likely the real Nepo Camp?

Started reading a new novel & was tickled at the burning man reference. It’s not center to the story. Just a bizarre origin love story of some privileged characters. The author has confirmed in interviews she’s been to the burn multiple times.

Which turnkeys are most likely “Nepo Camp” based on the description:
- biggest camp with 45 RVs
- illuminated bicycle vanity plates for each guest
- vegan chef
- DJ flown in from Ibizia
- masseuses galore
- art concierge
- psilocybin trip-sitter
- X-rated burlesque shows
- ecstacy laced apple cider

We did it! Denver, 575k, 5.625%

Mid-30s, got the keys in the west Denver suburbs to a cute 1985 home. The popcorn ceilings aren’t my favorite but it’s OURS. And I love the layout. Natural light was top
of the list for a plant forward household. It was the 10th house we saw & I instantly knew I wanted to call it home.

We got an awesome rate via Navy Federal due to my military brat status. Being a civilian, I couldn’t get full VA rates or take up the assumable loan but luckily we locked in a day before Iran.

The sell was a pre-off-market deal set up via our realtors. My mother is a real estate agent in Michigan & did toooons of research for me to recommend this particular realtor because of their inventory & long history in the area with great turnover numbers. My parents may not have helped financially with the downpayment but they most definitely helped me with the process. I’d like to say I did it all on my own, but in truth I couldn’t have done it without their extensive experience guiding me.

I always wondered how listing were up only a day. Now I know!

Bonus pics of deep cleaning upon move-in. I asked for a deep clean & let them use their regular cleaner (who must be 4ft tall & blind). Glad I specified Hvac & carpet cleaning. The 1 thing I’d change about
our deal would be specifying a deep cleaning company to come in for 2-3 days with a team for $3k. Because they didn’t prep the house for open houses, they left it unsatisfactory for this former cleaning lady with mold in the shower & dust heavily caked on the ceilings, walls, light fixtures, baseboards. Not every homeowners does regular deep cleans or maintenance, even if “they have a cleaner that comes in twice a week.” Their cleaner never did deep cleaning, only surface level. Should’ve known better to not agree to their cleaner with how dusty their home was but I didn’t want to be too difficult as a first timer.

Oh well, lessons learned & I know my new home well after scrubbing & steaming it from the top down. Now to get to the real fun: decorating & planting :)
