On target! Dover sole
Managed to snag a couple of hours down Clacton beach yesterday.
Target fish: flatties.
2 rod set up.
Rigs : 1 up 1 down & pulley pennel.
Time of tide: 1 hour into flood.
Bait, 2 sessions old defrosted ragworm tipped with squid and full squid bait on the pennel.
Wasn’t expecting much as the wind picked up and my rig bodies were abit heavy.
Fish came in around 1lb. And it was the only fish caught. Absolutely buzzing. Haven’t caught a sole for around 10 years!
