How do I tell my parents that its not that deep, just because I have A's A- 2 missing assignments and 4 assignments that are resubmit (meaning I got less than an a 70 on homework so I have to redo it) They say that without all A’s  I will become a trash collector or a mcdonalds worker. BTW im in 8th grade, taking AAP and advanced math. They constantly say, your going to MIT like they are trying to brain wash me into wanting to go there even though I do not want to be a fucking mathematician (No hate on MIT tho). I want to go to Virginia Tech study mechanical engineering while doing ROTC to become a Fighter Pilot. When I told them that they just smiled and nodded, then talked about how my grandpa lost his legs being a fighter pilot and my uncle died being in the military, then they showed me a video of some smart ass MIT kid yapping about how he makes 600k a year and yapping about how kids these days need to lock in. They played it on repeat for a fucking 30 minutes. They constantly compare me to this one friend who has all A’s, and is so good at piano she played at carnegie hall TWICE.

I’m mostly writing this because today was mothers day, I woke up went to my moms room gave her a kiss, then went down stairs and made her coffee. BUT she was still sorta mad the entire day because I did not give her a gift today. YO I’m 14 YEARS OLD also I tried to make this bookmark but I’m a perfectionist and eventually rage-quit after like 5 hours yesterday. Like I love my parents and all but sometimes wtf is wrong with you.
