I'm trying to play through the game relatively blind, but this is making me a bit paranoid about one of the things I *do* know is in the game - I know that there's a point where, if you haven't done enough sidequests, you get locked out of megas (and ultimates?) until the endgame/postgame. This is making me wonder, how obvious do they make it when you're approaching that point? Is it easy to miss some of the sidequests without a guide?

Unrelated second question, but I must be missing something obvious; why can't I place items on the DigiFarm? The "place items" option is only letting me move and/or remove the objects already there.

Edit: I'm playing on Switch 1, if that matters at all.

(United States, Chicago) I've been working as a research tech and lab manager at a university for the last seven years. For the last 15 months I've been applying for other positions, primarily to try and move into an industry-based role. I've probably applied to an average of 2-3 positions a week, but other than occasional calls with recruiters/headhunters, nothing. No in-person interviews at all.

The positions I'm applying to are mostly looking for 3ish years of experience and all skills I'm extremely experienced in, while higher-level ones all ask for higher degrees than I have. The only feedback I've gotten is that one company, despite asking for both industry and academic backgrounds in their job descriptions, is only bringing in people with industry backgrounds for interviews.

Is this transition still possible to make at all? Do I need to go back to school? Am I just having extremely bad luck? I realize that I'm not the only one in this situation but I feel like I'm losing it, and my current pay is quickly becoming not enough given rising costs of living.
