SEO died yesterday?

“SEO is dead.”

You notice nobody ever says healthy industries are dead? Nobody goes around like, “Dentistry is OVER.”

Dentists are doing fine, meanwhile SEO people hold a funeral every six months.

And the terminology! “We need more authority.” Authority from who? Google?

Google changes its mind every day. One day it wants “helpful content,” next day it’s like, “Actually we trusted a Reddit comment from a guy named SandwichWizard.”

And why does every SEO story sound like a survival memoir? “I stayed up for 10 days producing content.”

For what?! Nobody even reads anymore! Even Google’s like, “Don’t worry, I read it. I’ll tell everyone what you said.”

That’s the weird part. You write the article… Google summarizes it… then your own mom sends you the AI summary of the thing you wrote.

And ads! Four ads at the top of every search result. At this point Google isn’t a search engine, it’s a billboard with anxiety.

Honestly, SEO isn’t dead. SEO is that guy at the party everyone keeps announcing has left, but he’s still there in the kitchen explaining backlinks to somebody trying to open hummus.
