Possibly swapping from escitalopram 20mg to paroxetine HCL 40mg

I mentioned to my doctor I wasn’t sure if my lexapro was working anymore or something, and he sent in a script for paroxetine 40mg. I’ve been on Lexapro for probably a year or so now, but I’m nervous about swapping. I feel like my symptoms (I have major depression and generalized anxiety diagnosed, never been to a psych but sure there is more) aren’t as bad as they were without it, but I’m not sure if they’re any better either. It’s so hard to explain. Is 40mg a high dose? What can I expect on it? Did anyone swap from the same thing I was on and noticed improvements? I guess I just wanna hear some experiences because I have no clue about this and am scared to start it because of google.

Does anyone have kids that attend a charter school?

We have been approved for the first one in our area, with a projected opening fall of 2027. I honestly have no clue the difference between a charter school and a public/private school. I grew up in this area and we only had city and county public schools, one secular private school, and several religious private schools. Now we have a lot of homeschool cover churches, and small private schools at some of the churches. I’m debating on trying my youngest at the charter school when it opens being she is technically old enough for kindergarten next year but she would be the youngest in her class, and if we don’t like it pull her and wait another year.
