Hole in the wall restaurant gems
This past weekend I traveled to Philadelphia for the weekend. Friday was my b-day and I wanted to make a reservation at a nice Italian restaurant. I didn't want to travel too far from my hotel in northern Philly so I made a reservation at at small, family run Italian restaurant. The place has maybe 10 tables and is BYOB.
It has high ratings, and the food and experience justified it. My wife had incredible branzino, and my Ravioli was the best I've had since visiting Capri. We had a great time, and now I am looking for similar places that have the same business model - not corporate owned, small, cozy with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. Doesn't need to be in Arlington; I posted here because I live in Arlington. Also doesn't need to be Italian food, but Italian dining lends itself well to my description.
FWIW - The place in northern Philly is called Fiorino for those of you interested.
