Fanatec CSL DD Ready2Race GT3 (5Nm) + LC + Boost Kit vs Moza R5 Bundle for ACC/LMU?
Hey everyone,
I’m currently trying to decide between two entry-level direct drive bundles and would love to hear which one you think is the better deal, especially for Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) and Le Mans Ultimate (LMU).
Option 1: Fanatec CSL DD Ready2Race GT3 Bundle (5 Nm) – €459.95
What I like:
I prefer the GT-style wheel that comes with the Fanatec bundle.
I would add the Load Cell brake pedal for €75.
Later, I could upgrade from 5 Nm to 8 Nm with the Boost Kit for another €75, which seems like a very cheap and easy performance upgrade.
Option 2: Moza R5 Bundle
What I like:
With the Load Cell brake pedals, I would pay around €435 in total.
I’ve heard from a lot of people that Moza Pit House is a better and more user-friendly software ecosystem.
My concerns
On the Fanatec side, I really like the GT wheel and the inexpensive upgrade path to 8 Nm.
On the Moza side, if I wanted a similar GT-style wheel later, I’d have to spend significantly more. Also, as far as I understand, upgrading beyond the R5 would mean buying an entirely new wheelbase, whereas with Fanatec I can simply add the Boost Kit and get 8 Nm for relatively little money.
My use case
Mainly ACC
Le Mans Ultimate
Around 80–90% GT racing
I already have a dedicated sim rig, so mounting isn’t a concern.
If you were in my position, which setup would you choose and why?
I’m mainly interested in force feedback quality, reliability, software, upgrade path, and overall value for money.
Thanks in advance!
