Chilli Rewards (Ireland)
I’ve just reached the green tier chilli reward which says I can get a free quarter chicken or a free starter. If I use this does it set me back to zero or does it keep building to the orange?

I got my final class the other day for my degree and got 3.59 GPA (1.1 being 3.68). My degree is weighted 30% based off 3rd year gpa (3.5) and 70% based off 4th year (3.64). If I’ve done the maths correctly I would need a 3.76 in final year to get a first.
I will admit I didn’t work as hard as I should have in 3rd year so my grades reflected that but I put in so many more hours and much more effort in final year so I really was hoping for a first. I also only got a grade for 2 modules at Christmas since my 20 credit research project which I got an A+ in wasn’t technically finished until Feb.
I do think some of my grades from this semester should’ve been higher but I’m wondering if there’s even a chance of getting them bumped up at this point particularly since I’m not *hugely* far off a 1.1. Anyone any experience with this?
I am looking to go into research and I do have a publication to my name so I’ve been told that should help make up for the 2.1 but still a 1.1 would be nice
I took the RERC from Saint Michel to Versailles Rive Gauche today with my family and there were uniformed inspectors blocking the gates to get out scanning tickets. I have been using the Apple wallet Navigo €2.55 Metro Train passes and have had zero issues until today. The Saint Michel station where I got on has those newer scanning gates with the tall glass panels and tiny gap in between. I scanned my ticket, my phone said it was validated as did the gate, it let me through and my ticket balance went from 1 to 0.
Versailles was the first time my entire trip that I’ve seen these inspectors (obviously trying to catch tourists for their commission). In Versailles the inspector was dead set that my ticket had not been validated. I didn’t think anything of it at first because… it had… and I asked her very politely in French to try again and she refused and kept saying I didn’t validate and had to pay the fine. I tried to explain about the barriers in Saint Michel that I, a short fat person, couldn’t possibly have jumped or pushed through those barriers and that there was staff watching the barriers on the way in so I couldn’t have pushed in behind someone either and that CCTV would prove this. She just kept saying I know but its not validated so pay the fine (to be fair to her she was not aggressive or intimidating like most stories, she just wouldn’t listen).
I had read you can say no and let them call the police and usually they won’t even show but at this point we were already cutting it close to our reservation time at the palace which has been my mothers dream to visit. So I just paid the fine and asked for a receipt and the contact details on how I can refute this since I know for a fact I did nothing wrong.
So my question is what gives me the greatest possible chance of getting my money back? I know the exact time I passed through Sainte Michel so can I ask for CCTV? Can I myself go back to the station and get this because I know by the time the official complaint form even looks at it that footage will be long gone. My digital pass still says zero but it doesn’t say where I scanned on, despite me doing it. I have my bank app and Apple Wallet from a few minutes before when I purchased the ticket. I took pictures of the Saint Michel gates on the way back.
I’m not the type to break the rules and do everything by the book and if I was genuinely (and accidentally) in the wrong I would be annoyed, but I would accept the fine. But obviously I know everyone will say that so they won’t even listen.
100g peak active starter (1:1:1)
325g warm ish water
500g strong white flour
10g salt
Bulk fermented for 6h then fridge overnight then 3h more bulk ferment. Dough was jiggly, domed and bubbly but didn’t pull away from the bowl. Cooked in preheated dutch oven for 25 mins @ 230°C with the lid then 25mins @ 200°C without the lid. Then left to cool on rack.
It smells and tastes really good its just a bit more dense than I would like and the loaf was quite small as a result. I had tried sourdough 2 years ago and this turned out far better than that did (first time I have an edible loaf). Also used quite high hydration back then without really understanding how it works so thats probably partially why.
How can I make this less dense while keeping the lower hydration ~60% to make it easier to handle?
